Have said it for some time, the Brownlow is increasingly becoming a mediocre award to win. It no longer goes to the ‘best’ player in the league anymore. Melbourne players aside, the Bont had a much better year than Neale, as did Butters, Gulden and even Daicos. May as well call it the best midfielders award too btw.

Yes, several retirements in there. Doesn’t matter how the players’ leave, trade/delist/retire, they’ll all need to be replaced and that’s how the list gets refreshed. That’s where my 8 come from. I could’ve easily gone 10-12, but that would destroy the stability.
