Surely a couple of them would finally play as small forwards should and crumb the packs and keep the ball inside 50 when it hits the deck. We’ve had a serious problem in successfully doing this for the past 2 years.

What I like about Caddy in his highlights (yeah yeah I know), is how well he seems to read the ball flight and that he marks the ball at his highest point. He times his leap very well (unlike Dogga who started running under the ball a lot). Would I draft him at 6 if the likes of Sanders, McKercher or Curtin were available………..no. I’d consider him at our next pick if available, but I’m no draft guru like a few on here.

@Little Goffy I remember big Jim playing in his twilight years, but was just a very wee tacker when he first came out from Ireland. If Curtin ends up having half the career of Jimma, he’ll be a good player. Whilst we’re on the topic of draftees reminiscent of other players, the way Sanders goes about it reminds me a lot of JHF. He is just so upright when he runs.

Adelaide can simply just GTFO. Pick 14, which will become something like 18 once bids are taken into account + McAdam. Minimum would need to be 14 + McAdam + Fogarty/Thilthorpe to replace the known quality that is Petty. Crows persistence indicates they really want him, yet they’re trying to give virtually nothing for him. I wouldn’t even speak to them again for the remainder of the trade period, McAdam be damned.

Sanders and Wilson would be good, but Sanders and O’Sullivan would fill age gaps more on our list.
