absolutely he’s been the pillar of our defence for his entire time at the club and marshalling our defence. Nothing will take away from his feats in having a huge significance in winning our 13th flag. Our defence was the main reason we were able to go all the way. And I’ll be forever grateful, but he’s no heart and soul like Gus was. We need to move on and start focusing on doing what needs to be done to reach our 14th asap.

@58er All I know is that under Goodwin, Pert and Roffey yes we had achieved our best culture since the late 80’s and possibly the 60’s, but their ego’s ensured it vanished as quickly as it arrived.

We did not play well at all in the first half. 6.3 to 1.7, then we played some scintillating footy and got 8 points up during the third, before getting well beaten in the 4th to go down by 11 points (against Foster of all [censored] teams). It still hurts 😩😩😩. Leongatha are building a nice dynasty atm, 3 of the last 4 flags in Gippy League.
