  1. Will be gone before our pick unfortunately.
  2. agreed. It’s not as if we’re going to lose a spot in the finals because of playing him. We’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain
  3. If Laurie had any real AFL traits, we’d have seen them by now, at AFL level or VFL.
  4. Spoilers……..it’s not. Mostly people feeling the need to stroke their egos.
  5. To keep the hordes at bay I suspect
  6. Don’t give them ideas now
  7. I reckon @Ethan Tremblay is the guru of all guru’s, this includes draft guru. That man knows all……….or so he says 😆
  8. Doesn’t help when you lose your leading goal kicker early either. Injuries at the wrong time of year hurts as well. Our shots and forward connection don’t help the cause
  9. I’m just glad we’re not going to get more of the same death by a thousand cuts.
  10. Opposition will quickly learn we’re looking a bit too hard for him.
  11. I reckon it’s like Miers from Geelong, you’re never going to ‘fix’ that type of kicking action as it’s so natural to him, much like the buddy arc and the Josh Kennedy stutter. You work with what you’ve got. But I wouldn’t be using a first round pick in him, even in this draft,
  12. @Diamond_Jim A competition that expanded way too quickly. Should be 10-12 teams max. An argument could be made that the talent is spread too thin in the AFL as well
  13. yes his kicking in general play seems more polished than his goal kicking routine. He’s also a pretty good one grab mark going by the highlights.
  14. I think it just highlights how good a team North is.
  15. That ball drop is very awkward. Almost as if there’s a disconnect between his brain and foot in that he almost holds onto the ball for so long with one hand, his foot is half asleep before waking up and rushing to catch up before it hits the ground.
  16. Nope, the bloke is likely to go missing most of the time
  17. Gliderol is getting a bargain whatever they’re paying for sponsorship
  18. My initial thoughts were of seeing him knee the [censored] out of Maynard and Moore. This intrigued me, but was quickly overcome by fear of seeing him in the red and blue
  19. PO Jon
  20. Call the club, they are so much easier to deal with than ticket master
  21. Roffey was simply in the right place at the right time. Our premiership was achieved off the back of PJ’s brilliance and a stable board. We are seeing now the effects of Roffey and Pert’s (and even Goodwin’s) leadership playing out with 2024 and 2025 results highlighting just how poor their reigns were. Goody and Pert were there for our 2018 drought-breaker, subsequent 2019 fall and 2021 success. Roffey came in at the very end where the residual effects of her predecessors were still quite evident. She deserves some, but little of the premiership credit. Look at how Western United has fared with her involvement.
  22. The TSL seems to do alright without roofed stadiums. If the AFL is worried about optics, I point to the way too quickly expanded AFLW in terms of low quality football (yet the AFL seems ok when concerning the women’s league). This is the AFL Boys Club yet again displaying the attitude of ‘do as I say, not as I do’.
  23. Yep, and just about everyone went missing for a quarter and a half except for Gus. So as far as Trac is concerned, he did not play a full 4 quarters that day (he would’ve ended up with 50+ disposals and most possessions ever in a GF if he did).
  24. We traded our 2 best mids. We aren’t going up the ladder next year. But I back the decisions made. Better to face reality now than live in the dream land that Goodwin & Co were fantasising.
