Betsy is very biased in their reporting, given they represent horse racing. Furthermore, MRC have no control over whether we get approval for the site or not, as that lies with CRRT. A tunnel wouldn’t take a whole year out of the racing schedule, not even half that. But if that’s the sticking point, just install openable running rails next to the training buildings - if horses constantly run on the track that is long and lush with grass, some foot traffic ain’t going to damage it. Just a bunch of people drunk on their own power being petulant that they’re not getting everything their way. You could also equally say the same about Guerra and Smith. The reality no doubt lies somewhere in the middle.

4 flags came from that site. Let’s hope some of that success rubs off on us

Yes Guerra seems to do well at the talking part. Meanwhile, Steven King seems to be one who will let his actions do his talking. I favour the latter.

Yep @Lil_red_fire_engine . If I’m the Suns I’m bare minimum wanting the equivalent of the Trac trade…….and I’d happily pay it too. Sure we need to bring in a few before we contend again, but they need to be quality players which BH is.

No wonder he’s got a bad back. Can’t be good for posture carrying around all that cash

NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
Ground is far too small for 36 players’, allows the Swans to clog it up something shocking. Grounds need to have a minimum length (SCG) and width (KP) rule, to allow for more open play.

Given that the MCC operates and manages the MCG and the MFC was born out of the MCC, one could argue that the MCG is no less ‘our’ ground as Kardinia Park is Geelong’s

We’re in need of a quality KPF, KPD, a couple more A-grade mids to go along with our kids, and maybe a quality ruck to help out Heath when Gawn retires. But other than that we’re all good

well if Trac was worth 3, BH will be worth at least that as well.

At Caulfield for midweek race meet. Tunnel underground from grandstand to inside the track is approx 100m. Can’t be wider than 3 metres and 3m high, with lights running the length of the tunnel and not much else. Furthermore, there are a couple of footy ovals already inside the track. If the MRC refuse to relent and we aren’t able to convince them to allow us to have a training base, the whole board needs to go pronto. Anyone worth their salt could get this arrangement through.

I wouldn’t be moving until things are signed and ground broken.

Next Captain? (in a few years)
I actually think the right time for a change of captaincy was with the entire regime change last year. Even as great of a skipper Max is, it was also under his leadership that it went belly up. As such, a clean break could have worked out. We need to nail our next captaincy appointment, as I feel there won’t be as much leniency allowed as if we went with a new one this year.

Either that or reading the Herald Sun and listening to 3AW. But that’s ok, because the CFMEU have clearly taken over the ABC. It all evens out.- PREGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
probably because our medicos hadn’t consulted with the Richmond doctor by that time.- NON-MFC: 2026 Practice Matches Week 02

Stuff that, we should all apply. Surely one of us will get the job given how incompetent management at Caulfield seems to be- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Upgrade? Waverley is severely land locked and limited in upgrade potential. If it could’ve been done so adequately, the Hawks would’ve. Would much rather stay at Gosch’s than move to Waverley. I’d only accept a temporary stay there whilst our new HQ is being built. - The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
