The Stephen Coniglio Thread
Agree that is good for the game (and the Hawks and Blues get rejected!!!). But i wonder how much of his deal will be ticked off by Gil as 3rd party endorsements?

Sam Frost - Contract status
Sorry Stigga, but Ingerson is an absolute class above any KPD that has played with or after him at our club (May TBD)

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Nah, just take him in the PSD.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
god no. We'd have more success splitting the atom.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Stuff that. Get Young with pick 3 & Langdon swapped for pick 20.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Who, according to the Sun, has chosen us as his club of choice. No it doesn't make it a fait accompli, but it goes bloody close to it. Pick 20 will get it done. Clean and simple.

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
In good news SWYL, Coniglio has spurned both the Hawks & Blues to stay at GWS for 7 more years.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
I might be in the minority here, but unless we are able to trade in a quality player, i'd rather we held onto pick 3 as opposed to 'splitting' it. I know the draft is said to be top 2 then a bit of daylight to which you could throw a blanket over a number of kids, but having seen Hayden Young's kicking ability, i'd much rather bring him to the club than having to compromise and pick up any leftovers.
-
Karl Amon
Stick him on one wing and Langdon on the other, put Young on a HBF and our run and kicking have all improved.
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
What is Young's pace like? I know it's not anywhere near Lachie Ash's (but no others are in this draft). If he is deemed as 'quick' or 'fast', then with his laser boot he is our guy.

Raid the Cattery?
Raid the cattery............for who? Ablett is on his last legs, Taylor Selwood Hawkins & Dangerfield are getting long in the tooth, Kelly is off to WA. That only leaves Tuohy as one who i'd go after. They are their core and it falls away dramatically after that. Everyone else are just tiny bit player's. The Cats' quality is real quality, but they are starting to get rather old, not much young quality talent coming through down there (aside from Kelly).

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
To hell with trading Brayshaw. Like most have recognised, he was played out of position for the majority of 2019. Maybe it was because he didn't have the fitness base to stay in the middle full-time due to his lack of versatility. What i do know is that he is a much better midfielder than Viney. He kicks just as well (or is that poorly?) on his left as Jack and he still has his preferred right foot. Jack is prone to injury, and he selfishly brings himself back way too early. I know who i'd trade first out of them 2, but it ain't gonna happen. Bring in Young with pick 3, put him at half back or on a wing and keep Angus in the middle (centre is his position). It's either that or we go after Ben King with pick 3.

Or Trengove & Martin

The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
On that kick alone i am sold on Young. What a weapon! As the Hawks showed during their premiership years, kicking skill conquers all.

Petracca on the Move?
I'd say 18 clubs would want his services Troy, don't discount our own
-
Jake Carlisle
Appears to only be a good player when on the secret sauce!
-
Hayden Young (Drafted by Fremantle)
I'd rather we draft Young over Ash, if Anderson goes @ pick 2 to GC. We lack both pace and foot skills, but when looking at Hunt and Frost, their foot-skills detract from their pace badly. Foot-skills ftw.

Jack Martin
I’m not sure about Martin. Has all the tools to be a serious talent, but imo lacks the desire/hunger. Not worth the $ and trade cost
-
Mark "Choco" Williams
He's probably a bit too extreme for MFC's tastes.

Petracca on the Move?
No, i was hoping to hear that same announcement but it didn't eventuate ?

Petracca on the Move?
He played one hell of a test match.

Yep, we are bereft of true leadership on and off the field.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
Our second rounder, be prepared to walk away if they want more. There's always that Cutler bloke who would cost a lot less.

Welcome to Demonland - Alan Richardson
I hope they don't. Beat that petulance right out of them
