  1. Remember when watching footy was enjoyable?
  2. Out with a finger injury. And without wanting to be too much of a knob about it, it took 5 seconds of Googling to work that out.
  3. Post heaps on Demonland.
  4. We spend years posting stuff like "I've had it with the club!", "this club doesn't deserve my money!", "this game was the tipping point! (after last week's tipping point in the other direction". We post stuff about club curses and hoodoos. We mail bomb the coach and the CEO. Then we act all indignant when the coach says we're negative. I truly think supporters of the club need to harden up a little and stop taking things so personally. The club isn't trying to hurt you, and Roos is not trying to blame you for it, he is just pointing out something which to me was patently obvious.
  5. Mate, if he'd aligned his forecast with our worst, the "expectation" would have been zero wins. You've been around Demonland long enough to see how often that actually becomes the expectation for some.
  6. On a side note, I didn't recognise you.
  7. Why do people keep quoting this dumb statistic? Fitzroy played finals in their last 10 years, and were competitive in 7 of the last 10. It was only the last two years that were complete trainwrecks.
  8. Misson is a fitness expert, but he is NOT a doctor. It is the club doctor's job to diagnose injury. It is Misson's job to design fitness programmes for players based on his best understanding of their bodily condition.
  9. I was in stiches writing it. I was waiting for D'land to start the thread so I could give some smartarse reply about sparing us this week, but it seems he's made himself scarce this week, so I had to start it. Smart man, our Andy...
  10. Exactly. As if the OP is going to go "yeah no worries, all good mate" if the club apologises. I remember Matty Primus looking down the camera and apologising for a Port performance when he was at the helm and it made him look like a complete amateur. Besides, it may feel it in the heat of the moment, but the club is not trying to hurt you personally. We're all frustrated; it's part and parcel of team sport. If teams apologised to their fans every time they played poorly it would become a trite platitude very quickly.
  11. If you were called that, it wasn't by me. I've hardly been on this week, didn't have the energy for it after the debacle last week.
  12. We can obviously play when we feel like it. Frustrating loss. They are pus and we should have won, but we clearly couldn't be stuffed in the first half. This wasn't a game of seeing who was the best, which is why I was bored before it began.
  13. Michie, Newton having a crack.
  14. FFS. It's last week all over again.
  15. Cross worst on out of all the players who have been near the ball, which makes him about 8th best overall.
  16. Lol, you guys. Surely I'm not the only one who was expecting this?
  17. I hate these sorts of games. There's no avenue for satisfaction - we either win as expected as the opposition have the cue in the rack, or we somehow lose and suffer that embarrassment. Hope Hogan kicks 10, or something else happens that makes this dead rubber worth watching.
  18. Read the posts that came 5 and 6 before yours (Fidge and Macca). I had already come to the same conclusion: both internal and external pressure to push through it. I don't think any one player has been as resoundingly screwed over by this club as Jack Trengove. I hope he gets back, as much for personal reasons as footy ones.
  19. We'll all be really pissed off about it for at least a week In reality, we will not be any better or worse than we were prior to the match The sun will rise the next day
  20. In what way would you like him to "take responsibility"? Beyond acknowledging that the coaches need to step up, the only way senior management can truly "take responsibility" is to resign, otherwise it's just a platitude. The only alternative I can see is like how James Hird "took full responsibility" when this drug bizzo came out - i.e. he said a bunch of words that seemed to indicate he took full responsibility, then continued to go about his business as if nothing had happened.
  21. If it's the same as it has been in the past, the format of the voting favours players who play all or most games. I reckon Viney has missed too many to be a serious candidate. 1. Vince (missed 1 game) 2. Hogan (missed 2 games) 3. Jones (played all games) 4. McDonald (played all games) 5. Cross (played all games) or Dunn (played all games)
  22. Some players have still had good seasons and deserve to be rewarded for it. Not having a B&F would be a great way to harm team morale. You can raise the bar without being draconian about it.
  23. I tore a hamstring just looking at that kicking action. Wow.
  24. The only reason you'd be accused of being misogynistic or sexist base on that comment is because it is clearly both.
