Nah im out of the loop , only what i hear on TV and on here now haha

Haven't heard his name much this trade period Has he re-signed with the Crows? Are the Dees interested? Demonlanders seemed to be pretty keen last year and now he's available we've been pretty quiet. Any news anyone?

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
Cheap Seats replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
The only other thing I want to add to this discussion is (apologies if already raised I don't get a chance to read the whole thread) AFL is a business, and the big clubs run it like a business not a club. In saying that if Roos and co decide moving on Trengove is best for the business fo winning games (dare i say preimerships) I can't disagree As I've mentioned I don't really want to see Trenners leave but at the end of the day it's about the MFC winning games consistently year in year out. If trading Trengove achieves that long term Im all for it -

Not having a go at you.... But what does that mean??? If the club didn't want to trade Trengove then it would have been shot down and not presented to Jack to make a call on. Clearly the club has some interest I must admit I am a little shocked by this news, but sometimes the big moves that don't feel right can be the right moves. I trust Roos and co. Am struggling to get my head around this move though -
So close too the magic mark

Although this Rumour has kept the trade period interesting Otherwise I might have to start a bring back Chilliboy or Nudge petition

More like people will believe anything I must admit the latest rumour seems to have a little substance...... but nah I'm still willing to put cash on that Pat won't be a Dee in 2015

Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

Sounds nice in theory But why would the Crows want Cameron when they want Danger and have Tex - and why would GWS give up 2 guns for 2 unknowns in the draft when they want senior bodies? Plus the players have to agree to it - so good luck convincing them The NBA style trade before FA doesn't work in the AFL yet - the players have too much say I like it don't get me wrong - theory and reality with trades are 2 very separate things -

Cameron is like Danger - GWS and Crows won't let them leave - the'll have to walk out as free agents. The US model won't happen (not yet anyway) I like the idea of another gun young key forward but Petracca and Brayshaw would be my best case scenario. Most likely we won't get Petracca though -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JEFF GARLETT

This makes a lot of sense Both players have risks - both keen for another go - seems straight forward Probs won't be but hopefully a swap of late picks and doneski -

Off feild stuff aside (regarding Garlett and Lamumba) If we can pick up Frost, Harry o & Garlett without giving up any high picks (keep 2 & 3 at least) that isnt' a bad offseason IMO A ready to go KPP to replace Frawley, a rebounding Half back and another forward to assist big hoges, Dawes plus two pretty good kids.... I'd be content with that - some experience and talent -

RIP #2 -
Not sure what you mean but that was my point It wasn't until Mahoney on SEN or Trade Radio brought it up that we on Demonland were talking abou tthem as targets..... Where is all the good mail and inside sources al la Paddy D?
-
I agree, but we are just guessing atm. It doesn't necessarily mean we will trade pick 2 or 3 or the combination either though. We could just trade late round picks for Harry L and Frost??? There's no solid evidence to suggest what the MFC will do atm. Anyway i do think you're right - I'd be surprised if we have 2 top 10 picks by the end of the trade period
-
Or it could mean they'll look at all options to get in senior players.... You've just assumed its Danger (extreme positive to extreme negative view haha) Look I hope he comes but I doubt it, Anywho I don't think anything is going to seriously happen until this thread = 100 pages (just like the clark, frawley and roos threads)
-
Cool THanks mate, do appreciate your contribution on what you hear - makes Demonland worth all the effort
-
I agree with this a lot First step for us is to improve our depth and get out of the bottom 4 - Merrett will def help that cause While I think your a little harsh on Chip (but fair calls) I agree that Sauce can play! Get him Dees!
-
That might be true GNF but what have you heard the MFC will get as compo. I was [censored] at first when the MC news came out (he was our best player) but if we get close to fair compensation I'll be happy (considering we should have got nothing with him retiring).... Don't need his issues at the club anyway
-
It's amusing that no one ever has it on good authority we are looking at Sauce or Frost yet everyone is all over Danger or any other highly sought after target. A couple I reckon Sauce would be a good addition the club with Frawley and Clarke gone... A useful swing man to help fill in while Hogan develops. We still need some mids though.... so would be a bonus if packed up Say pick 2 for Sauce and Redden? (not sure if thats a good deal for the Lions but I like Redden he's a sold player) And I do like a good rumor so keep them coming lads.......

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
Cheap Seats replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree SS. People can argue all they want about Harry L's value but facts are the MFC dosen't have enough experienced talent. Harry might not be perfect but he'll fill a hole
