  1. I think this post got lost.... I have no specific idea what you're talking about but your statement clarified in my mind what Roos brings to our club He was sent in to save/give credibility back to our club. And he has done that. We may not be on fire or the next big thing right now but he has made our club hopefully one of the respected ones again. I hope and believe when Roos leaves in 2016 our on field situation might not be perfect but he has set up a club which will achieve success. And if Franky is on the money that may come sooner rather then later Franky give us more details......... PS - I would like to add I don't believe in all this Roos needs to achieve a xxx wins result to get the job done. I expect our On field and off field structures and programs to be set up to grow and lead Brayshaw, Hogan, stretch, Petracca, T Mac, viney and co to have long successful careers at our club
  2. Bulldogs worse list then ours hahaha Oh dear
  3. Let's wait until next week before we go too troppo. Damn the dogs were good. Fast ball movement it was exciting to watch. Yesterday confirmed for me that we need to keep drafting kids... Some blokes r just not up to afl footy standard
  4. Disappointing end to the year for the Scorps Fitz and toump always show glimpses but can't seem to stay injury free or play consistent good footy. Will be an interesting off season
  5. This is a great post I was frustrated today as we carried a few players I reckon. But that post makes me realise the best is yet to come And it was a great fight back by the boys, pitty we threw it away in the 1st qtr
  6. We continue to shoot ourselves in the foot with turnovers. Good fight back had a chance to pintch it Good signs for the future... Some of the kids are looking really good
  7. Love the jet How did his grab on the weekend not get in marks of the week? (Well not on the footy shows I saw)
  8. No agree. I was more referring to his overall games, but points noted as I saw the same thing by the sound of it. At crucial times when the pies were coming I thought he kept making costly mistakes. As I said I hope he plays the remaining games and gets it right but my opinion is no he won't.
  9. Due to our lack of depth and experience I hope we keep them all. Even though I do think they all have limitations as players. if we can keep building with these 3 as role players I think we will be on the right track. But it's really up to Howe and Col about what they want
  10. We're 100% agreed on that All I will say, Tiges, Hawks, even the dogs had a couple years of 'Development' before they started consistent rewarding footy. I don't blame everyone for being angry as it's been a crap 8 years lets be honest apart from some small glimpses it's been bloody poor. All I can hold my hat on is that this rebuild is 18 months in, we have some real good kids but they need a couple years development before we really hit our straps. I would love 2016 to be the year - But I honestly believe our kids need around 50 games before we really take off. So 2017 - 2018..... If we can top up some more maturity it might happen sooner, but I believe we are on the right track
  11. I agree Bonkers. Sadly I don't think Grimes has the assets for AFL level. His mistakes outweigh his positives.... I hope Im wrong as I think he's a terrific bloke, but as a cheap seats contributor I don't think he'll be in the team when Salem, Frost, toump and a few others hit their straps. He seems too slow and makes poor decisions continually under pressure
  12. Also Im prepared to cop the hate on this one But I don't reckon Jack Grimes is up to it - would trade/delist Again just my opinion. And in reality I'd keep him on the list for his experience and leadership until the young brigade take over. I hope he plays in the seniors for the rest of the year and proves me wrong, but his disposal is iffy and he is too slow and just gives up the ball. Take the tackle and get pinged don't just cough up the pill fffs Anyway as I said my 2 cents
  13. I rekon Chris Yarran should be a target Got some great assets and I reckon he is gettable from Carlton. His run off half back would be great at the Dees, something we really lack. Anyway just my opinion no 'sources'
  14. I enjoyed it
  15. I know this has been said to death.... But the Tigers are another team (probably not unlike the Dees in a lot of ways) who stuck the coarse and are now seeing the fruit of their hard work Swapping and changing the plans ever couple years is not productive. It obvious we are nowhere near where we want to be but we are 18 months in to a proper rebuild the Tigers went thought 4-5 years of inconsistent rubbish under Dimma? Now they are finally putting it all together. Stick the coarse people, I know it sucks but instability at the club will achieve nothing PS - I don't think there is anything wrong with venting years of frustrating I just think another change of direction at the club will be very unproductive
  16. Sounds too good to be true....
  17. Agree, For a couple reasons His leadership - and I would love him to get 250 games Hes a great warrior and the Dees need that experience at the club to bring on the kids - It would be another J Mac error I rekon. Crossy puts it all on the line every game, he's not the best player but gives his all. Another year for Crossy for me
  18. You may be right... How will we ever know? Fact is though McCartney is considered one of the best Development Coaches in the AFL. he may not of hit it off with top gig at the Dogs, but if you listen to anyone worth their salt they all say Macca helped that list to get where it is. Beverage has added finishing touches So i think my point re Macca is relevant that he is here as a development coach and has only been her 8 months??? Compared to the 2 odd years at the dogs Development takes time
  19. Macca was there for a couple years as well. He's only been at the mfc 8 months? We all want us to be better now... But sadly it doesn't work like that
  20. I agree do the basics and do them well.We don't seem to do it. Is it experience or coaching? If we have ' depth' now they should weed out the offenders The risk is do we risk fielding a team with no experienced players?
  21. Probably stems from over reactions and decades if poor leadership, continuous coaching and game style changes. The simple truth is we have to develop a list and it won't happen in the 18 months just gone. If we can keep this group together a couple more years all this crap will change and we will be like the bulldogs or power etc. Keep the faith lads n lasses It's bloody hard....
  22. But on form we shouldn't have expected to beat - bulldogs, Tigers or Cats Im not having a go at you Sir PR, I just think there is a lot of over reaction after a loss.... No problems venting but just trying to add some balance and make sense of it all myself Have those losses raised prematurely our expectations and made the losses to bombers and saints even more disappointing? ;?
  23. I agree with this We have a couple gun mids but the reality is the rest are good kids but the majority haven't even played 50 games As much as people hate hearing it - we're developing
  24. Farren plays for the Aints
  25. Aim to kick the ball to the opposition. With our consistent poor kicking under pressure we may actually kick it to our own
