  1. I think we are a sneaky chance if we can find someone to stand up and kick some goals and play a consistant 4 qtrs..... But as i've said in other posts I am not going to hold my breath and be let down again this season haha We've played some good footy and some pretty poor footy lately it will be an interesting match in more ways then 1 I will also be interested in the off feild hand shaking - Will McLardy pay Db a visit/???? haha
  2. That was my question I am posing to America de cali - I want Cloke at the Dees and or any player that can help us win now..... America de cali was suggesting we develop through the draft
  3. I agree with your points we should be looking to win.... But reality is the Crows have something to play for and for most of the year we have been disfunctional. I will be at the game so I am hoping a good preformance (and I do think we have been getting batter) but I am not going to hold my breath. My other point is that no matter where we finish on the ladder I don't think it will influence where we get Viney. I believe from what I have heard (non MFC sources) that Melb will be forced to take him with our first active (whatever the non compensation picks are called) pick
  4. I guess the simple question is do you want to bring in another key figure and attempt to win games now??? Or develop through the draft for 2, 3 or 4 more years. The latter is what you are purposing
  5. Sounds like someone forgot their medicine................. or needs to go see someone I like how your argument is that we need to fail to succeed - I think you shoul consider supporting Freo or the Dogs or maybe even the Saints - they love failure PS - i am glad we are a shadow of the side we we;re last year - winning easy games is great, winning flags is what we should be about - Unfortunetly people like you can't see that the club has to take a step backwards to build something special.... Agian if you don't like it go support the Dogs, Saints or Failo
  6. Don't stress brother... This is the football department's and clubs decision - and they will live and die by this same sword I am in the get Cloke camp.... wheather he wants to come to the Dees is another question
  7. Got to love the optimisum though..... we did smash the crows last time out....... anything is possible haha
  8. Haha like wyl Hopefully not the same outcome with a DB flawless victory
  9. Don't stress too much fellas, Even if by some miracle we end up winning one of the last games (not that i don't think we are a sneaky chance against the Crows) but lets be serious we are playing 2 potential finals bound teams who won't want to lose to us GC are interested in Viney - he is highly rated. I have heard GC will nominate Viney and would be happy to pick him up at 2.... MFC are playing hardball but they won't let him walk to GC... I am more then happy to be proven wrong though!!! would love 3 cracks at the pool in our first round
  10. That is correct...... I didn't mention it as I am hoping it will not happen!!
  11. I like your thinking DemonWA I didn't hear the whole interview but I am confident he'll re-sign. If he does move on, after what was said my confidence in the club will be a little shaky
  12. Agreed......... I am not 100% over the rules but Blease is not an FA If he does not re-sign with us I beleive he will have to nominate one of the drafts and be drafted to play next year - Unless he is off to GWS as they can still sign FA's Rivo & Moloney (probably one or two other un-contracted) can walk out to a new club if they elect....
  13. , I agree that rational dicussion should be promoted but... Anyone promtoing instabillity at the club does not deserve the time of day. GNF wants to sack the board and coach, all because his mate has been asked to move on. (i don't have a firm opinion on Green retiring - he has been a great servant of the clube and I would have liked to see him have a crack at 1 more year if he though he was up to putting in 100% effort. but you know what life goes on) Again how can you take an opinion like that serious??? I love the irony of wanting to sack the coach after 12 months to create a better culture at the club. That will promote a great image of the club, I am sure sacking the coach right now will make the best and brightest in the league say hell yeh I want to go to that club who has no balls to take on a plan and stick it out. Take a close look at PAFC..... tell me you think they are on the right path or not? Some ppl need to get a life..... Neeld is in charge... Neeld will coach his way and bring in players to the club who want to play the way he is coaching if they like it or not.... It;s fine to have an option but to promote club instibility should not be tolorated by the supporters unless and only when it is obvious the best interests of the club are not being met. I don't know how anyone could prove that beyond a doubt at the moemnt??? The club is financially stable and has implemented new plans to improve the club - until it is proven that they are lying to the supporters and inept there is no need for a board spill Will Neeld and all these new plans work??? Who knows.... but he has 3 years to implement his views and people/supporters better learn to embrace the change.... or go and cry with Mike Sheehan If this all falls out arse end in a year or 2 I am more then happy to support change - until Neeld has had his fair crack I will not support or give the time of day to GNF's argument
  14. I hope there is at least 1 of 'Neeld can't coach' or the board is incompetent threads at least once a week until the start of the next season!!! :) OP should read some MFC media where Neeld addresses our lack of experience and will try to address it this offseason. People fear change - be prepared to imbrace change peeps!!
  15. Good news re Strauss - Wouldn't mind the Dees signing up Blease either!!! Both finally starting to show potential!!! Anyway back to the rumours - I think we get compensation from the AFL if Rivo decides to leave????? And yes he is a Un-restricted FA and can move to any club he likes....
  16. Love this time of year Sadly it's been more exciting then the footy!!
  17. These blokes are professionals.............. they get payed $'000 a year to be professionals........ they need to start acting like professionals and do what is demanded of them. Get out the small violin!! You blokes are kidding yourselves...... No wonder we've been s!#t for so long when we support mediocrity as supporters
  18. The end of season can't come quickly enough........... what a shocker!!! Good luck Bater - Hopefully he can have a good game - he needs one!
  19. I take on board and agree with what you have to say.... it's a good post... it is the players livelyhoods we are talking about, and I for one am very aware of this. On the other hand - the club (MFC) has a right to employ who they wish. Also players know this is not an industry that provides long term. You have to preform at an expected level. Players knew when Neeld came in that things would change. Players are employed by the club on very good money and are expected to obey instructions, act in a professional manner at all times and perform at higher expectaions then general society. If you can not live up to the standards set by the club you will be fired. It's a cut throat industry. Posters on here are allowed their views.... Reality is that I'd expect half the players listed in the OP to be kept and half will likely be moved on for whatever reason.
  20. Rivers is an average footballer who can shut down an opponent (unless they are bigger then himself) and has little offensive value what so ever. Another so called 'LEADER' of the MFC..... If Rivo goes I will shake his hand goodbye and wish him the best of luck personally and won't lose a moments sleep about it
  21. Hoepfully we can keep going backwards and bring back the Norm Smith days?? Right or wrong Neeld is going to do it his way - so buclkle up children s$%t is going to hit the fan.....
  22. A bit of a reality check Tona Players on that list have been put on notice. The club culture is finally changing - f*&$ helleluja not all of that list will go at seasons end - some will get re-contracted, some will be delisted and some will be traded. Lets not get carried away
  23. I agree with some of what you say - where I think your arguments are faling down is you give too much credit to this playing group..... They aren't any good. A lot of the talented players are too young to make a solid contribution week in week out at AFL level. And the player who are old enough to do it are not good enough.... simple as that We got smashed at the clearences against GC - says it all. You can't blame coaching for that..... (and 1 G Ablett)
  24. I haven't got the time to go through evey line of your post so I will answer/reply/argue this line Have a look at the replay of the GC v Melb game last week and tell me what you think of Rivers and Moloney's contributoins agains kids???? Then reply to me if you think they would slot in to Carlton, Essendon etc
