  1. Attention all geniuses wanting to play Scully at Casey if he has signed..... It would lessen the compensation we would get. Significantly. That said, I don't believe a word Eddie says and ignoring the hype as best I can
  2. Great post. Hope every one reads it closely. Keyser, can I post this on demonology?
  3. Love it, good on you Dean. About time those at the top stuck their necks out. Now we must follow.
  4. I reckon the scarf looks fantastic, especially with the emblem sewn on it.
  5. By my reading of this, we went our needs over the best available. Pretty much the best available does not equate to best available. BTW, I'm very pleased with what the club has done.
  6. Sylvia must love it. 8th most votes yet gets in and has center stage...
  7. History lesson for me? Hate to tell you, but he still didn't play. And if you call 2002 and 2006 teams as being successfull well then you're as soft as a supporter as Bruce is as a player. Check your scope...
  8. It's not clear cut. That said, for me, I'm adament that we'll be better off without Bruce. He's disposal was iffy, put some pressure on him and we're in trouble. He got way too many, cheap and uncontested possessions by running into space behind the ball carrier and demanding it from his younger colleagues. They'll give it to their senior player, despite the fact more often than not they have better disposal. If Bruce tackled like Junior or put his body on the line when it counted, I think there'd possibly be a case to make. As it is, I consider us more likely to make finals now that Bruce is gone.
  9. I think that we are more likely to play finals without Bruce. A fit Junior would make a difference but that's academic. I'm more than happy with the path the club is walking.
  10. My God, what a load of tripe. Skill, well Bruce has heaps, very skillful with helicopter kicks and hospital handpasses... Jeff White, top 5 when he left. That's why other clubs came knocking for the ageing ruckman. He wanted to keep playing, but like Bailey 15 other AFL coaches could see that time had passed him by. Then you use Jolly as an example to back up the youth policy being a travesty. Clutching at straws there Champ. Jolly left due to too much time being given to the older ruckman.... LOVE THE WAY YOU HAVE SHOUTED ABOUT OUR LAST REMAINING LINK TO THE 2000 GF. History lesson for you .... Bruce didn't play. Green did though..... Oh but Bruce won a B&F when we were struggling. Good on him. He would never have won a B&F when we were doing well (especially post Guerra). As for Hale, the FD rated him at a certain level and stood their ground. I don't have blind faith in them, but neither am I blind...
  11. Hell he used to yell on 'ology about how great Bruce was. Even bumped a few.
  12. "It is understood Bruce was happy enough with a one-year commitment, even though the Demons were offering slightly less than what he wanted. But he also wanted assurances and positivity about his own place as the club embarks on a determined youth drive." Soft as they come. Hey Fanta pants, did you expect us to guarantee you a start regardless of how bad your disposal was?
  13. As I said on 'ology. We can look forward to him hitting Demons players more regularly in the future. What a dog of an act, thought more of the money hungry grub and won't miss him haven't rated him since he did his shoulder and lost his balls.
  14. My God you are either completely full of it or .... I asked where had you said who your back up option would be before I posed the question. Why don't you try look at the thread a bit closer and tell me that. You hadn't and are full of it. The 'proof' and 'evidence' are also examples of this.
  15. Answered the question 5 times? No, you hadn't said who you'd play when I posed the question. There's a case to be made for using an undersized back up for a few minutes a quarter rather than wasting a spot on the list for someone who will contribute nothing. The point was made and you dismiss it with scorn. Then you have the nerve to whinge about "pissweak passive aggressive shots". What an amazing hypocrit! No need for evidence to be submitted in triplicate, but if one is to quote the evidence, then supply it. Unless of course you are making it up to support your argument, which obviously you are.
  16. First we have: "That's exactly what you can do. It's proven that you're more likely to suffer soft tissue AND impact injuries while fatigued." Where has it been proven, or are you making things up to help your argument? Evidence? Where? or are you making this up to help your argument? BTW why are the AFL considering limiting interchanges to slow the game down due to worries over soft tissue injuries?
  17. And had you answered before or did you just have a heap of generalisations and say nothing? The Sylvia point was highlighting how far off the standard the other two are. A simple point I would have thought. Obviously not simple enough for you.
  18. Halls actions were perfectly understandable. Should cop nothing more than a fine
  19. Something Brock was good at.... in the spirit of these thread I also suggest we send Watts, Scully and Trengove to Casey. Maybe Grimes too. These young guys are showing plenty. We wouldn't want them to get hurt.
  20. So who do we bring in? Spencer has played. Was useless. PJ played and was worse than useless. Give me a 186 cm Sylvia over these 2. That leaves Fitzpatrick and the injured Gawn and Meeson. So Dappa, which of these back up ruckmen should play and whom will they replace?
  21. Bate was great. Bruce was Bruce, very poor disposals. The stats are a load of crap. Watch how many of his looping handpasses lead to a player have to break stride and prop to receive them. Look at how many time his handball recipients are tackled within 2 seconds of the poor handball. Look at his loopy snap-pass, that wouldn't even be counted as a clanger but was a shocker by any standards. His time is limited.
  22. I find it quite amazing, not only is Demonland ranked first among supporter sites, Demonology is ranked 2nd. Anyone questioning Melbourne supporters passion just needs to see this (or is it that we have the most computer geeks )
  23. Mate, as you are new here, let me give you a heads up, regular readers of these boards pay little to no attention to this bloke.
  24. Like it but can't see the Poohs going for it. I've posted similar on 'ology but pick 34 and Bell for pick 27.
