It wasn't hot or humid here today. Barely even warm. The Tigers were behind at half time. To use the heat as an excuse is wrong and takes away from the credit the Suns deserve for their performance today.
-
Wrong and wrong, sorry. The Tigers didn't play in hot or humid weather, they were terrible and outplayed. They didn't tire but kicked into a huge wind in the last. In the 3rd, they should have destroyed the Suns, but messed about with the ball and missed their opportunities. I live up near Cairns and the Tigers couldn't have asked for better weather. You make a fair point about the effects of the humidity, just using the Tigers as an example is an understandable, but wrong example. I also think it's wrong to say next week will show where we are. Few (if any) teams have won after playing in Darwin. The humidity is stifling, players lose a hell of a lot of fluids and they generally play flat the next week. I reckon we'll get belted next week, but it won't tell me much as history tells me that's what to expect.

Biggest disappointment of the season

2004 draftees -
Jordies performance didn't get my vote as he's not a 'find' of 2011. It's more of the same from him, following on from a fantastic year last year. Find of the year last year IMO, what I've expected this year.

R.I.P Sean. A sad day for the club and more so his family. One of my all time favourite Demons. Still reckon he kicked the greatest goal I ever saw at the 'G in pouring rain against the Tiges, the ball went over his head into the pocket, Sean went sliding into it and soccer kicked a freak goal. A great player who would be considered a legend if his body enabled him to reach the heights he deserved.

Disagree. If it went on all game as indicated he should be suspended properly. Don't understand how he's allowed to play in the VFL
-
Think it's only in the mid 30's. JPod only accepted the offer to go on the cats rookie list after receiving assurances with regards to having continuing employment (he was already working with the cats) if it didn't work out

:) :) Thought he bleeds for the club. Thought you were his greatest fan..... :) :) Scully has done nothing but wait and see what happens with the new collective bargaining agreement. He'd be a fool to sign until he knows what is happening. He's done nothing wrong, only the hysterical fans have

Moving sideways backwards and sideways again? We've the talent and no system. Bailey doesn't seem to have one.
-
From reading what Bailey said, Rivers started on Cloke and stayed there for 5 goals. For someone that so regularly accuses others of making up facts to suit their own arguments, you have a remarkable ability to do it yourself.
-
Really? Could have sworn Neitz was an All Australian at center half back. Think Carey even named him as one of his toughest opponents.
-
Are you sure about that? Coud have sworn Rivers started on Cloke
-
It says a lot about us that we are 7 goals down against an opponent who are playing well below their best. That this rank performance is acceptable and defended by some chooks beggars belief
-
The filth have been poor today. Compared to how they've played the last 18 months, they have been very average. Says a lot about how we are playing

Tide has only turned by simpletons who believe everything the media says. Funny how Watts put off contract negotiations last year till after the season and no-one said squat.

Where is the fight? Where is the spirit?

To include Nev Jetta as an example is just plain wrong -
Who gets delisted at the end of the year?

Strauss contracted for next year -
Other than the mentioned example, I'm not unhappy with the list rebuild AFTER Baileys first year. I would have put Bruce on the market in his first year regardless of whether we would have had to cover some of his contract first year
-
You're right, enjoy the chocolate.
-
Great list management hey??
-
I'm not saying he had no idea, I'm saying he was wrong, but not sure why I'm bothering as comrehension obviously isn't your strong point. He knew what the list was and believed they could make the finals. If he was brutally honest and believed we were as bad as you make out, why was Trav the only one moved on. Actions speak louder than words. His actions said he thought he could do something with our list.
-
So he hadn't seen them play? What was he doing before he came to us, going to the netball? Stick to telling me how great a kick and committed a clubman Bruce is.
-
Hardwick did and now we have so many here praising him. Cracks me up too when Brock and Bruce are held up as examples of him moving people on when they walked out on the club and him. Meanwhile we miss rookie drafts to keep spots for Newton and Meeson. Reckon if I took a dump and told you all it was chocolate enough times, you'd start to eat it.
-
Well Nasher, your recollection is wrong. The culling occurred after year 1, only after Bailey realised how wrong he was in regards to the state of our list.
-
Removing Trav isn't exactly a culling. Only call of any note he made when he took control. Compare that with what Hardwick did at Tigerland. Bailey planned to do well in his first year, neither he or his list were good enough
