Thank God that trade didn't happen
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Brian Wilson's topic in Melbourne Demons
You'd find the same type of response here, sadly the data is no longer available, but just continue to type BS and act like it was fact. I did a disservice to TGR comparing you to him, he at least knows a bit about footy. From what I have seen of your posts and moderating 'skills' you are more like Demonlands RRE. -
Thank God that trade didn't happen
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Brian Wilson's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sorry but that's crap. The majority of posters on both sites were against the trade. Sewell at the time had a lot of issues with OP. can't remember what side of the debate I was on, but know most supported Ferguson, only Old's brilliant retort stands out from it, to a comment from CAC who came onto both boards to settle the natives down. I know you are the try hard TGR of this site, but don't try re-writing history on me: http://demonology.midnight.net.au/Index.PHP?Mode=Forum&SubMode=DisplayPosts&MessageThreadID=14423&BoardType=0 Oh yeah, as to the BS about the majority wondering about why it stalled, we knew... http://demonology.midnight.net.au/Index.PHP?Mode=Forum&SubMode=DisplayPosts&MessageThreadID=14454&BoardType=0 As always though Rhino, make things up if you think they suit your argument -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DAVID RODAN
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Demon Head's topic in Melbourne Demons
I actually quite like Rodan, can be an exciting player to watch. That said, if we pick him up, I'd be livid -
Thank God that trade didn't happen

Can remember many up in arms about the mooted trade of Ryan Ferguson and Brad Sewell. The majority here were relieved when it didn't happen -
While he's a talented player, until he looks like he gives a [censored] about playing for the Demons, then I may give a [censored] about what's happening with him

From the bottom of a sauce bottle – 3 way trade
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Number 2's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah but a fair share here are the NQR ones.... -
Stef Martin needed as key back for opposition gorillas
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Tex's topic in Melbourne Demons
Please tell me I missed the bandwagon. If we get a decent off for a trade for Stef, take it and run as we won't get better. Reminds me of Paul Johnson - no idea how to use his size. Massively over-rated here -
Funny, have read the same boards and seen many regarding McLean - none for Scully. None recently, but a lot a few years ago, but true to form if facts don't fit your story, make them up...

I hope he does, too good of a talent to lose. That said, much more interested in seeing him get his life and his families lives back on track.

Agree Binman, wish all the best for Liam, hope his life takes a turn for the better

FAREWELL BRENT MOLONEY
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to RalphiusMaximus's topic in Melbourne Demons
Where do I say Neeld is the messiah? Are my questions based on facts or not? -
FAREWELL BRENT MOLONEY
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to RalphiusMaximus's topic in Melbourne Demons
Show me where I am on the record of blindly supporting Neeld. But this troll has spent his whole time on here trying to paint Neeld and the club in a bad light for it's handling of Brent. Show me the unfair attacks I have made on the playing group. Otherwise, get a clue -
FAREWELL BRENT MOLONEY
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to RalphiusMaximus's topic in Melbourne Demons
Weak and gutless. You remind me of how IRW used to give Wattsvotes, take cheap shots in every other post and then claim he is a fan - just check his votes. One line on great coaches, quite a bit on Knights. Have posted about the handling of Moloney, all clubs fault. His removal from leadership group not justified to you. Is it acceptable for a leader to be out on the grog regularly, so bad he embarrasses himself and the club? Is it acceptable for a leader to put up his hand to play when he was clearly not right and must have known that? Obviously he has such high opinions of himself that he thinks his 60% is better than the emergencies 100%. Going back further, is it acceptable for a leader to spit at first years players in preseason game practice as he was annoyed with them? Is it acceptable for a leader to be told to trim down a it in the preseason by his coaches but he ignores them? Does a real leader, spit the dummy as he has been removed from the leadership group and give up and the treadmill seems to have done this year? Nah, but by you, the club has mishandled the situation this year, we should have kept the kid gloves on, we may have got pick 20 instead of pick 35 and just ignore the selfish behaviour. That would be great for the club. It's Neeld's fault that Beamer gave up on the year, as you are such an expert on his style of coaching you can tell us it's only suitable for young players. Keep sooking Brent -

21 posts and about 18 of them having a dig at Neeld and/or the club for its handling of a spoilt brat. Now cfe, thought you'd be busy in Brisbane -

Ahhh, you're right, it's all to do with Neeld's style -

So was Baileys authoritarian style the reason Beamer had a problem with binge drinking, inevitably having some effect on his performance. Was Bailey's authoritarian streak the reason Beamer played at Geelong when he must have known he was in no fit state to take the field. Nah, it's all Neelds fault. Should have molly coddled the spoilt brat -
Risk versus reward. Wouldn't have to give up much or anything for Gumbleton and odds are that he'd spend more time in injury rooms than on the field. But for a minimal outlay you could get a former number 2 draft pick who is far from a dud, but a very talented player who has been crippled by injuries. The risks are big, the odds are he's cursed by the injury gods, but if he can put his injuries behind him the potential rewards are huge, a quality, good marking tall for whom we'd have to give up little for. I can think of a quarter of our list who I would remove in a heartbeat at this possibility eventuating

Thanks for your years of service Brent. Now pick up your dummy and P.O. Disgusted with what I saw of him this year -
25 1st rnd draft picks for GWS in 2013!
Rod Grinter Riot Squad replied to Gippsland Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
Look at how many first round picks we have and where they have got us. They have received a significant leg up, but that is all. Am I worried about them? Sure, just like I worry what 16 other teams do. Right now, I worry a lot more about us -

Thanks Nudge. Hope that the Jetta rumours don't eventuate -
Wines, along with Viney, will make the chase for Farren Ray even more understandable
-
Love the sound of this kid, won't be around by pick 13, would love to use pick 4 on him. Apparently similar to Viney, don't care, fiercely competitive player who hates losing with a passion. Can play inside and out from what I have read. The fact he is good mates with Jack is a huge plus. They will push each other harder and harder, dragging many along with them. The camaraderie their inclusion to the squad, added to that already there thanks to our young leadership group could lead to a long term change in the culture at Melbourne. I know intangibles are impossible to measure, but have a gut feel that if we draft Wines, we'll never regret it.

Highly unlikely, but a great idea

Yeah, Perth another place where I might to able to get into the type of plane I'm hoping to fly
