Apart from my obvious typo [censored] up, any info would be welcomed …

Hi all, I really appreciate the preseason training threads (big shoutout recently to Pickett Fence and others). I wanted to help out and get down to a session or 2, but have no info in where or when they may be. Nothing obvious on the website. Anyone have any details?

Sounds like what you can pick up at the drive through of Frankston Maccas

Saturday Morning on Demonland (12)
buck_nekkid replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
At Christmas lunch I asked my nutter Hawks MIL if she could just pop the GF replay on the telly. Went down as expected, made me a happy man. Had to suck down years of their smug [censored]. Nice to put a cats bum look on the old girls face! -
POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
buck_nekkid replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watched the replay (again). So many magic moments that BT simply misses. There are so many small acts that add up to greatness. 15 goals to 1. Unbelievable. mrs Nekkid sees me watching the replay : ‘are you winning?’… ‘not right now, but I have faith’ (bang, bang, bang, bang, etc)!! glorious! -
2022 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS 2022
buck_nekkid replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
A second rounder, two thirds and a fourth. Makes for a good points swap for a first rounder for a few teams seeking sons of guns (Ashcroft to Lions, Davey to Bummers). Can see us trading back in. -
We have a good spread of players in our best 22 that have a premiership medallion, too. Would think it might be the best in the comp come round 1, 2022!
-
Don’t expect anything before 48 hours before the season starts…. I read somewhere they would prefer another year of ‘consolidation’ re rules rather than change, by who knows?

TRAINING: Monday 6th December 2021
buck_nekkid replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
How bad do they want it? Pretty bad based upon those pics ! -
Last year we got through virtually injury free at the pointy end. Cant expect that again. Depth is critical, and it encourages fierce competition for spots. Looks like a good rotation set, maybe Rosman and Howes also in that mix but further back as developing wingers

Hi Demonlanders, due to some family ‘excitement’ I missed getting tickets to the Bluey this year. If anyone finds they cannot go, I would be happy to take 2 tix off your hands. just putting it out there….

Another great article on our captain.

Post your details, I’d rather buy it from you (if you are a retailer, of course!) -
Saturday Morning on Demonland (8)
buck_nekkid replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I bought an item 6 weeks ago, it hasn’t arrived and has been discounted since! They dont respond to email or phone calls. Pretty crappy really. -
I feel like I have dissociative identity disorder reading this thread. Post about Raj, post about Roos, post about Taj, post about Roos… the last post was about Roos, so I’d better make this one about Taj. Welcome to the Dees, young man. Welcome to the premiers, who are set for a feast over the next few years.

Lived in Berlin for a while. Used to be up listening or watching us getting pantsed over breakfast most weekends. I can report that a sherrin has passed east to west and back again through the Brandenburger Tor, and a few other sites besides that. Flughafen Tegel, Teufelsberg, Alexanderplatz… I was there when the Soccer World Cup was on. Magnificent. Took about a month to recover from that.

Awesome! Imagine a Sydney team built around a Pfrengle Puncher combo!

Burgess reveals secret to Dees' incredible injury-free run
buck_nekkid replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
We started the year with our two key forwards injured. Brown and Weid. It was lucky we had TMac to throw forward and open a path for Angus on the wing. We got through the back end pretty well, with hunty doing an ankle, and May a hammy. How much was luck? Resilience? Science? he did us well, wish him the best of luck. Selwyn should be a capable replacement with lots of handover throughout the year. -
Who’s Mac Andrew? I cant see him past the premiership cup….
-
That is indeed the question: where do the Dees rank him? Given the 20% discount, any top 10 pick might have been beyond our expectation. I imagine top 5 would definitely be overs. We may not have matched and moved on to our true targets.
-
Drivel article. Some [censored] heard…. Freo would be ‘keeping tabs’ on every player, not just MA. Twomey creates news at this time of year - GWS may have an ‘interest’ but that doesn't mean he will be best available at their pick. They also just picked up Brander form WCE for the same role.
-
I think we wait for a bid and then go, unless we are at our last selection when we just grab him then. Best use of picks and points. If someone grabs him too early to nail us, we just let him go. Have to think in terms of where we see him going on OUR list, and anything later than that is a win for us. Think we have a clear idea where/when that would be, and a clear target for 17.
-
Be nice if clubs looking at Mac decided on Alleer instead - as a more mature option. Could clear the path for a later bid by us…
-
we took a punt, gave him a chance, it didn’t work out. Maybe it’s also a timing issue- we may look at a younger ruck prospect who is further back and has a longer development and higher ceiling, given the current Gawn Jacko combo with Daw as 3rd wheel? Bradtke had a number of years, and it would probably be at least another 2 before he got his shot.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
buck_nekkid replied to TRIGON's topic in Melbourne Demons
Apart from Mac, Pascoe’s phantom has none of our nGA/Fs choices going in these rounds. So we pick them up as Rookies (if at all). How do we assess Moniz-Wakefield and Woey Jnr? -
Looks like he should wear an electronic ankle bracelet and is not allowed within 500m of childcare facilities…..
