Farewell Luke Jackson
Lets see what is the outcome. I think the whole process is stuffed. All this prodding by the media is empty tosh.

Dual screens for sure…

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
By 3:10 all the stacks would have happened at Bathurst and it will probably be a parade under safety cars. Will be time to switch over and watch the Dees!

Adam Tomlinson on the move?
I think AT may be behind petty and turner for a gig, and even Smith might be favoured for certain roles. If he gets no takers this time around, he can work his butt off to get back in front of them, where he thinks he belongs. I like him and would love to see him at his best for us.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
It is somewhat puzzling: we exist in a strange capitalist realism. The way we are all deciding ‘value’ on individual humans, on potential of new people entering the system and on what we expect them to do based on the value we assign them. If we won a flag then we got it all exactly right. A club like Gold Coast would have had maybe 100,000 more ‘points’ value in just the recent past and the value has transpired into nothing like the true judgement of success. They can’t even make the finals. What we need to win another flag is different from other teams, so ‘Value’ is completely subjective to the buyer and seller, and not truly ‘fixed’ around a schedule of points. I dont think LJ makes the dockers that much better - than grundy will make us. If our window is the next 3-5, Grundy might actually be worth MORE to us than LJ. But we can never know…. But if we suggested taking what we got for LJ and sending it straight to the filth, people would go out of their tiny minds! So we have a slave market that values people that is completely decoupled from the measure of success, and with enormously subjective valuations. Good work AFL!

13 + F1 + north’s F2 isnt too bad, but doesnt get us the Cadman. We have a potential midrange fs next year, so going early there might suit to strike before brown comes into play. Need to improve this year’s pick significantly before it will get done, either by being able to trade up or they get it in.

Farewell Pick 27

Farewell Brodie Grundy
So do I read this right: grundy was on a front loaded deal, meaning the ongoing rate is reduced from the big number bandied around? the filth will look to pay some of his salary he will take a pay cut to join us? sounds like we get a pretty good deal from all of this, depending on the pick traded.

Farewell Pick 27
It also means we have nothing extra to offer the Grundy deal. Here is 27, we have no other 2nd or third rounders. But happy to give you a fourth rounder! Deal done!
- James Harmes off to Essendon?

Farewell Luke Jackson
Seems to me freo are in a bind. What they ask for and get for their outgoings sets the tone for the Jacko deal. If they push for higher picks for the players leaving, then that has to set a value for what we ask of them. I would say to them get the other deals done first, then let’s chat.

Farewell Luke Jackson
First positions in bargaining are all about anchoring perceived value. Lets see what drops at the end. Freo are going to want LJ pretty badly (imagine if WC steal him away!). Think they will pony up. I think this will be a later deal as it hinges on so many other things. If Grundy is worth 25, what is this fella worth???

Farewell Jayden Hunt
Did we get a pack of twisties with that third rounder? Sheesh. Farewell Hunty, hope you have a son called Mike who we can F/S in 18 years….

Farewell Brodie Grundy
The FD will work out what Grundy is worth to us and go from there, I’d reckon. All the factors like cost, contract length, alternates, injuries etc would all be factored in. coll need hm gone more than we need him in. Coll need it done early in the trade period, which suggests ‘fair value’ may be easily paid by the filth. Can’t see us being bent over on this one.

AFL Trade Radio 2022
Nah, just in general. They prey on the hopes of all teams supporters who didnt win the cup. This week is conjecture, no real news. I come on here (DL) to get my hopes built up and dashed - i reckon people on here can make the same ‘educated guesses’ as Trade radio muppets. When things warm up it may get better. Want something different to listen to? There must be some paint drying somewhere…

Jordan De Goey
If he didn’t think he was likely to be a bad boy again, why not sign as a show of good intent? I understand the fairness issue, but saying no to behave yourself is how this rejection could be perceived, rather than saying no to an unfair set of clauses.
