  1. Ha ha! Equal ninthmond!!!
  2. Great work compiling all of this. Interesting how we rate well for the flag. I agree - we have a really strong defence, a top flight midfield and a developing forward line. Our gameplan has been sharpened and pre season looked like a top flight outfit. Its a long season, but I hope the intelligence of the crowd is more valuable than the ‘stupidity of the herd’.
  3. Forward line? Naughton is good, Ungle Bungle unproven, Darcy is wet behind the ears and Lobb is a go-missing off cut from Freo. Get it to ground they say? With those talls? This forward line looks top heavy and no weightman is their biggest forward line issue, will lose 4 goals from no getting rubbish free kicks.
  4. I think our forward half will benefit from: BBB and TMac being healthy. Although we have others waiting in the wings, these are our ‘1 woods’. Schache - might be an x-factor that has slipped under the radar. Better delivery and a focus on better target selection (including kicking to the hot spot 30 m out straight in front. Ed, Hunter, ANB, Kossie, Spargo and even TMac can make a big improvement to us here. Resting midfielders kicking more goals. Rotating Trac, Kossie, Viney, Sparrow and even Oliver down the front end should help with pressure, clearance and scoring. Having the 3 princes always in the middle robbed us of this offensive threat. Faster ball movement that breaks the lines, rather than puddling along Ed’s wing all game. This will help our forwards get better position. 4th umpire: proper free kicks to Big Bald Benny Brown. Improved goal kicking craft I believe this is an area we have significant upside, and based upon f50 entries, increasing efficiency by only 10% will lead to massive changes in scoreboard outcomes.
  5. This is the second worst week of the football year. the first is the week after going out in straight sets. the second is waiting for it all to begin, reading and hearing all the drivel by the commentators trying to fill column inches. Enough already! Time to get on with the real stuff. Go Dees!
  6. Afternoon performance to enjoy, then Into town for beers and a Parma (Preload phase), then toddle of to my reserved seat to enjoy the match….
  7. I think he makes them a poorer side so having him play is an effective team punishment
  8. Think max got the one where Chandler was pushed into the post.
  9. I think we need to watch out for Dunkley, Hunter and Martin…. Oh wait… i didn’t see them play the Roos, but assume it was a regulation hit out. Starring Mr Blobby, ungle bungle, son of a [censored], vaccine dodger, and Oscar Baker. i think they will be looking at us and sweating. With our midfield and strong running to outnumber, we should be quite a challenge. If we get first use and stop them marking, should be a nice Melbourne evening….
  10. Or any other live streams? Im not a Rupert man.
  11. ‘In her rectum’ would be a more appropriate pronunciation of their name…. They seem to have read the dishrag HS over the summer. Reckon the podcast here or gazman would do better. The view From outsiders like this is positive and sets up general expectation on us, most like this suggest top 4 as a minimum pass mark. Btw, if ‘i knew’, JJ, then why would i was my time? however, thanks for posting DL.
  12. The filth to dominate the back page of the dishrag, regardless of performance
  13. ‘Founding tenant’ - first uninvited guest. Like the cane toad was the founding tenant of the QLD cane fields. GFY Kelly, Melbourne FC are the original and only true team of the MCG.
  14. Says nothing about him rejoining main training (says nothing at all, really). He has to train away from the club for the period of his suspension. He got a cut on his knee in a praccy session - they knew about the drugs but hadn’t sanctioned him yet. Last time at the club until after the suspension, apparently…..
  15. If Kozzie goes more through the middle and Viney rests forward, then there is certainly a role for a small forward. On the basis I think Chandler is a ‘buy’ at about 2.65.
  16. Q: What’s the best drug to get rid of gingivitis? A: one snorted in the pub dunnies!
  17. I’m death riding this mob all the way….
  18. It is also a way to identify that this was an area that needed improvement - we all can see it, the club is now acknowledging it and defining a specific resource to address it. It becomes something the team get specific training/drills/encouragement/reminders about.
  19. Pickett will struggle to get to Port as they have no first rounder after doing a horney franger. They would have to give up a big name to get Kozzi in. Has there been any other suitors mentioned?? I reckon he stays.
  20. From the 2016 report… In further good news on the injury front for the Demons, Heritier Lumumba (concussion), Sam Weideman (hip flexor), Lynden Dunn (hamstring) and Cameron Pedersen (illness) will all be available to play following Melbourne's bye. Young forward Jay Kennedy-Harris, who injured his hamstring for the third time this season after tweaking it at training a fortnight ago, remains four weeks away from a return. Rookie Joel Smith (groin) faces a similar timeframe for his recovery. Interesting who is no longer there, and who is sill on the injury list1
  21. Wednesday : training at Goshes - not training at Goshes Friday: not training at Goshes - really training at Goshes MFC and the multiverse of madness!
  22. Training report: The sun was out at Gosh’s Paddock this morning, and a few keen track watchers were ready to report in. The ground was in magnificent condition, and as the Melbourne Rebels finished off their training run, hitting the bags, doing agility work, line out practice and fast ball movement the scene was set.. for the biggest let down since last year’s straight sets exit. After relaxing in the sun for an additional half an hour I was wondering “Well, where are you lads?”. Checking in on the DL site showed me that I was to be as disappointed as a Cats supporter without red hair and an overbite. OK, so onto the bus and head back to el rancho nekkid. I hope the powers that be are pleased with themselves - here was my one chance to skive off and do a report for DL, and get a selfie with Mrs Nekkid’s favourite, Big Maxy Gawn. I was not put out as many but still, this mob work as well as our forward line did last year. I hope someone made it down to Casey and there will be something to enjoy after that joyful outing…..
  23. Gone very early! Harmes, bbb, petty, schache, spargo and several others say ‘hi’! think there will be some interesting changes this year.
  24. The west coast games - TMac goal on siren and ‘lightning gate’. the last round out at Whitten oval to make the finals gf 2021 gf Aflx (Just joking)
