Big Americans training with Roos at Swans Academy
beelzebub replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I really dont mind us venturing outside the box -
People do realise a trade CAN be done MID contract ....if all parties agree...thats the nature of contracts

about the same as.........
-
Why would our offer be necessarily better ? They , the Mess , have more to play with. we are trying to coax players to us ; that will cost. We have to be efficient with our money.

From what I can gather Stkilda are chasing Myers. The only way thats likely to occur is if the Aints sweeten the pot with a pick or exchange of picks. Essendon desperate for picks. They have the money ( damnit those buggers lol ) to pay 100% so they can manouvre to offer a bit over to lure some to their naughty hangar. The Bummer as expected havent delisted too many as yet.. Only Davis and Hinter

Sue I still think Messendon are in for all sorts of pain and I hope to god we steer clear but what other clubs do?? Well !! The Dogs are already into Crameri and I believe there are going to be a couple others putting hands up come closer to the silly season . This "we're all sticking fat rubbish " coming out of the hangar is just hopeful spin. its going to be interesting for sure

Very possibly there Nasher and Im not suggesting we would come out of it shining but he , for mine, is a one trick pony and the trick is hit and miss. I know he's on Roos's big question list but now maybe Paul is in the chair he will evaluate more circumspectly towards what assets can really drive this team and what can be developed. If his only value is to upvalue a pick , then that might be it. The list needs weeding.

Messendon have very few options come this years circus. They are going to lose a few players they'd rather not and have not a lot to bargain with re picks, which leaves just the good ol' bags of money choice. They are going to have to pay overs to a point and this will suit Col as this is his last hurrah and Im sure he'll get more from the Tulla Desperados than he'll be offered from us. Hes not playing finals with either of these choices but he gets more coin. he might also find it easier going there.

Sylvia is gone Smell the flowers peeps

No coach will come out at the moment and say that anyone ( half way decent ) ISNT a required player. Doesnt mean theyre irreplacable.

and in all seriousness...play him as ?? He's not a mid.. hes only really a HFF . Not enough up and down in his game.. hang around... geez what...another decade

I honestly dont know how to come at an evaluation of Dunny. Heres a player who many a coach will like as he'll be given a job and essentially does it and some days really well. All the whiles he has annoying habits of seemingly not understanding the next thing to do and turning it over or apparently acting out childhood fantasies at being some 'tough guy" when he not just bad at it he's hilarious !! Its in the washup, does his up outweigh his dumb ? marginally i think. As others develop he'll be easily pushed aside. An interim player at best me thinks

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
beelzebub replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
It does make yo ponder as to what the stumbling block is there. Dank, the first big domino -
Actually it was about playing them, not watching. Well done to have participated in that, the observation. The context was Jack, your's seems boredom. Happy Netballing

thankyou for your input BH... We now know you dont like Basketball. That however has nothing to do with the game itself, just your likes. Im sure they were appreciative of your attendance and even more your decision not to continue.

I played footy til i was 35...played Bball til i was 49. In the leagues I graced neither were for the faint hearted and I can tell you fingernails were the least of your problems !! the argy bargy of basketball makes many a footy game look a bit kindy. Anyone whos driven a key or tried to stop one knows you will get hurt. Wood is far less forgiving than turf. Both are contact sports irregardless. The thing is its still about the thoughts between the ears, thats what drives you or inhibits. You have to have a hunger for the contest , for the battle, for the hit. Its not the games your playing but how you play the game. Jack has to learn to really take it on. To not just know how to ride the bumps but to impart them. I was recently advised when trekking in the Himalayas to embrace the pain, to leverage it to use it . To not do so was to invite even more and failure. Jack still has his mountain to climb. Hope he does.
