PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood
Imho... two recent hitouts seem, to my eye, show we understand the importance of plans B through whatever. Or in other words not only the ability to change up, or simply just change; but a necessity to do it when you HAVE to. Something i often lamented was our oblivious adhesion to a "protect the space" as opposed man-up . Against the Hawks and possibly a little late we changed tack and not quite man o man ( imo ) but certainly tightened the rein. This stymied their game. Against Sydney and the half kick difference in their ground we also had to ( eventually) move closer to the corridor when able with a little less chaos and bit more possession. Both these ploys will be staples come this Thursday if we are to prevail. Collingwood like to do two things... play bursts..and swarm forward...but controlled towards their lead ups. They are unlikely to bomb away.. our defence will need to wear them like gloves. No space can be given....or they WILL take it and hurt us. Very important we play the Pies with serious intent. Need to hurt them and not just the scoreboard but exacerbate any injuries they already carry. This is finals. No prisoners taken. Go Dees

Are we playing games with the Woodies... oh i hope so.. Please please please play Daicos.. 1) shows panic 2) way underdone...still capable..but limited 3) a fitter player wont play as result. Daicos playing would say to me.... you ( Melb) have us on toast....this is our Hail Mary. Will they ?. Doubt it They play Cox at their peril also. This is finals baby !!!!!

PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood
Viney needs to have a chat to him. ..or get Kozzie to put knee into his back a few times. There will of course be those pure of thought who detest 'thuggery'... well.. Footy ,like a lot of contact sport at its highest level can attract a bit of niggle. There are strangely enough quite a few Bully Boys out there that like to play a bit naughty. Bullies are dealt with the same everywhere As long as Cox and his ilk think they can run amok unfettered..... they will...and do. Some will suggest either let the scoreboard do your bidding...or rely on the umps. Well..never rely on maggots... and the scoreboard won't help your team-mate as he's on his knees gasping after some dog act. Without doubt Cox or other will be given instructions to touch up a few of us...esp if we do nothing. That's a mind game win right there. Dont let it happen Melbourne

The game is as much between the ears WCW . We're playing them...and not just next Thursday ;) A fabulous film..." the man who wasn't there " context... look it up and have a ponder. Love messing with faux intellects 😉

PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood
Tmac COULD play out of the square...but we havent played a stay at home since....well..some whiles back now. My observations... so take with a tiptruck of salt... Tom plays well often when playing high up as a forward... In a similar vein to what Milky did ...i.e become that link player... ball off the HB...to a winger to a Half Forward... Tom plays that Half forward role well as he is both a good kick and a faily smart judge of where to put it.. He can also play at the sharp end and CAN take a strong pack mark...Just depends on where the ball is and whos had it etc.. I havent watched him in the magoos so anyone who has what has been his forte there ??
