You're not really selling me on him. Might be time to bring in another who's at least having a crack with results. Spargo I do concede has always struck me as something of an enigma. He's effective, but in a limited way ( these days ) Granted He's coming off a rubbish preseason but I'm more about a team than a player. Not a walk up start imho

Yeah.. I was initially getting just 13s .. but kept doing it.. and got a string of 12s. Like you suggest there may well be a gap formed between top8 and below , making it quite hard. Hence even I ( big of me I know lol ) understand it might be better to view the trend and form.of of our games for rest of year. I really doubt the 8 is attainable . But here's hoping. Despite what some think... I really would prefer we're competitive and winning.

Having run the ladder predictor about a dozen times it's about 50/50 that you could squeak in with 12 w. 13 is more probable this year. Given there is only 13 more games for us we'd need at least 8 wins. If Goody can manifest 8 wins even I would say that was a fair achievement and he should be allowed to further his ideas in 26. If we only manage a handful more wins with a fairly complete list you would have to see that for what it was....underwhelming would be kind.

The hands are off the buzzer now so to speak. Goodwin has the rest of the season ( a safe bet ) to show he has actually got a game plan, one that works, is working and capable of winning consistently. I'd go as far as to say finals won't be the litmus. How we're playing and how we are trending will be the yardstick. I think we'll still struggle to make finals. A big fail for mine. If we were to win half of the remaining games and at least be there or thereabouts in the losing ones then he might have an argument to see out his remaining contract. If we're doing not much more than spinning the wheels in the mud you'd have to have 'that' chat.

The art of footy perhaps ? ... being borderline illegal. There is no way Grundy will beat Max on Sunday. Not saying we will win the clearances however. The Swans are not to be underestimated. Going to be a very interesting duel all round.

I've been surprised they've never rotated him through the forward line. Instead of pulling players off all the time , I'd prefer to see some just change role for periods. Imho not only can they bring other sides of their respective games to bear but also challenges the opposition in match ups etc.

Interesting conundrum

Something along these lines. There's a a trap we can all fall in of leaning towards picking a list of 24 odd players .... as opposed..... picking the better TEAM . The team yesterday worked. You probably don't want to change it wholesale so asking myself what might tweak it, just improve a few things ? Something along SONS line up. Viney about the only 100% obvious. Lever , super handy if fully fit. A smallish ? hangs over him. Sharp or Spargo comes out. I feel many are too quick to caste the scythe towards AJ. He actually provides something. It doesn't sparkle or shine that something, it's quite rustic but very affective. I'd hesitate dropping him. Fritta seemed quite keen and alive when he came on. I'd do this maybe once more. It worked. I quite like things that work. Prefer them to things that ought to... but don't. Goodwin is a fella that prefers not to change much. Here's a week to do just that imho.

You know what.... possibly some learnings were implemented. Still some way to go but we saw a far better side , saw something more of what some can do. Great game....let it not be unique.
