I'd argue the problem(s) stem from the premise of the method by which we attempt to score. It resembles a football version of Force Majeure. I.e as if by overwhelming pressure within the forward arc the ball will somehow be put between the posts by result of pressuring their defence. I've often thought there can be no more an inversion to logic than to play this way. This "style" ( and I begrudgingly use that word here ) exhibits no real patterns or skills, just pressure.

One is part of the other. Gameplan requires tactics. You apply various tactics to an overall strategy ( gameplan ) Other than a choreographed rehearsal you can only practice tactics and hope to bring them to bear in a game.

Dare I say you might be conflating tactics and gameplan ? All well and good to have the idea of what to do,but if you can't actually do it..... Bit like wanting to make something. You have an idea and the drawings but not the necessary a abilities to craft the result desired. This is is, unfortunately. We aspire to what we can't do.

Yes and No. It partially works.. Bit like those games you play.. maze type... find the path through to the treasure. Some go a long way to a dead end. Do you call those " good paths" ?? They look like they will get you there, but don't. Our game plan does not account for our obvious weaknesses. The greatest of which is quite simply we have no f'n idea what we're doing in the forward arc. Very little craft and embarrassing kicking. So.. I'm calling it a NO By all means think otherwise.
