I wonder what kind of shiver it sent those representing the naughty 34 upon the news that ASADA not the AFL would take the lead at the tribunal ?? Its an interesting ( and smart move by Dill ) change of dynamic. ASADA runs Tribunal... Benny Boy back from a "boo-ha " conference gee up with WADA !!! Could get ugly. All the protestations and filibustering by the players and club are all going to come home to roost now me thinks. You cant help but feel WADA are tired of the joke. Australian Sport is about to be given a lesson. Long overdue .

KC Whats your take on all of this. Given the 'beefier' coaching stocks and a seeming 'bringing into the house of coaching ideals" i.e Melbourne outlining the goalposts as it were , would you expect a serious change in the playing results , at least as far as how they go about it on game days etc.. Its going to be interesting isnt it. You can ban a cycling team, no loss or real impact to others other than one less competitor to worry about, but in a league situation ?? Then again banning a team outright is NOT going to hurt all others.

If ASADA ( WADA) deem the penalty insufficient it can/will appeal to CAS, The Court of Abitration for Sport. Though its the AFL Ati Doping Tribunal that deliberates as to the outcome , it's my understanding it does so within the guidelines as set out by ASADA. The AFL cant go off on its own little adventure here ( no matter how much it might like to ). So if ASADA feel they spirit of ajudication has not been met....its off to the CAS.

ASADA impose individual sanctions upon players as per result of SCN's. Penalty is delivered by the AFL after deliberation of AFL Anti Doping Tribunal. You can bet ASADA will be sitting at their shoulders during this. Gill theDill will need to tread very carefully here or he'll be made to look like a schmuck!! However ASADA can also dish out its own justice to the club itself.. The AFL has already slapped the Hillers with its lettuce here

Im somehow guessing that the Hillers are hoping this scuttles ASADAs ability to progress the hearing/tribunal.. Having said that like you Bin I don't see how that's likely. Then again essendon have misread a lot about the procedural nature of all this and seem to be blindly shooting ( npi ) down any alleyway in the hope of hitting something of value. In reality the only collateral damage is their own club
