You know....when you prune roses you have to go hard.. It looks brutal...but look what blossoms. I reckon a footy list isnt much different at times. and Ill keep going back to the adage..whatever isnt part of the solution....is part of the problem. If when adjudicating players you cant put them into the 'solution"...well guess what they are. Footy is brutal at times. Winning clubs whilst appreciating their assets are people still keep firmly rooted into the ideas of 'bettering" their lists

shock...wow....when did all of this happen ?? -
Maybe its not such a bad idea to have some ex Dees at Casey..as yo say...might aid in grooming the youngens as to the "Melbourne" way
-
He'll probably go to StKilda...everyone else seems to be associated with them !

hell....WE have nfi but HOPE we must be doing something !! -
Often clubs evaluate players as to where and what as a role they can fill. They sometimes look at other club's lesser lights and wonder if a new environment , fresh start , different development might turn out a player different to the one that languishes etc at the 'other ' club. It happens. We took on Michie..Riley ...they were speculative in nature. Another club may well do the same
-
I refer you to my comment above. Toump may be part of a swap that lands something "non-speculative" You re assuming only a narrow style of departure for him Id suggest

not a free agent

just a question though Swans are haemorrhaging experience at the moment. Would they let Kennedy go now ? Would seem odd...to me

Macca would know ALL about this bloke.... I'll leave it with him

Dland : "So Paul....goss going around suggests the Dees will surprise all by landing a big fish this trade" " Well, ,we're looking to be active during the period and you know you can never tell often until at such time as you might find a deal comes across the desk but we'll just wait and we're certainly looking into being amongst it"
-
That is a false assumption without logic If he plays the same, the average is the same. The greater the sample the more 'accurate' possibly the result is, but you cant say that number would be greater, the same or less unless those games are actually played. The average is what it is

we already know about Milkshake This alludes to something very different -
GTG..the thing I wonder about is why when many talk of Toumpas being let go etc is that its simply for a pick or a player. I.e him for something scenario. I would think Toumpas will ( should he go ) be as a 'sweetener' to another deal. On his tod he might not fetch much in the market but as part of some package it might be the difference between us gaining something...or not. I choose the word GAIN specifically because if Toumpas can help facilitate us getting something we need and can use then we have gained. If he ( JT ) gets to clear the decks and reboot...so does he. I see nothing wrong with this.
-
Its not like they gave him a 3 year gig is it. Our team wont morph into a premiership one overnight or even after this next trade/draft. Its a work in progress and whilst there is progress you still need to fill roles, until you get someone better, or more accomplished/seasoned etc

Hear , Hear, Red Hes a flawed diamond perhaps but a diamond none the less. He'd sparkle a damn sight brighter than some of the "gems" we have currently
