this... Viv is currently a true depth player with a possible upside When we consider how good our list needs to be ...and I mean no disrespect to Michie...this is as where we need to be at least..I.e the minimum bar ought to be around here. With another preseason...I think he might start to improve..What is it they all say....you need 50 games to get an idea with some

its DC humour....very dry and subtle... It would be what the Filth would ask of us if the other way around !!

Well this is good. I think. It raises the chances of getting something half way handy for Howe

Along your lines of reasoning perhaps lets look 2015 Melbourne best and fairest 1st Bernie Vince (Keith Bluey Truscott Memorial Trophy) 328 votes 2nd Jack Viney (Syd Anderson Memorial Trophy) 327 votes 3rd Tom McDonald(Ron Barassi Senior Memorial Trophy) 300 votes 4th Jesse Hogan (Ivor Warne Smith Memorial Trophy) 286 votes 5th Nathan Jones (Dick Taylor Memorial Trophy) 270 votes 6 Daniel Cross (242 votes) 7 Colin Garland (218 votes) 8 Jeff Garlett (216 votes) 9 Jeremy Howe (151 votes) 10 Lynden Dunn (148 votes) 11 Angus Brayshaw (146) 12 Max Gawn (134) 13 Dom Tyson (130) 14 Aaron vandenBerg (128) 15 Christian Salem (113) 16 Heritier Lumumba (112) 17 Neville Jetta (102) 18 Jack Watts (99) 19 Chris Dawes (67) 20 Ben Newton (46) Jack Grimes (46) 22 Viv Michie (40) 23 Cameron Pedersen (39) 24 James Harmes (36) 25 Billy Stretch (34) Mark Jamar (34) 27 Alex Neal-Bullen (31) 28 Jimmy Toumpas (29) 29 Jake Spencer (27) Matt Jones (27) 31 Jack Fitzpatrick (20) 32 Oscar McDonald (19) 33 Rohan Bail (16) Mitch White (16) 35 Jay Kennedy-Harris (12) 36 Sam Frost (11) 37 Dean Kent (9) 38 Aidan Riley (6) 39 Jordie McKenzie (0) Of those that finished Under Watts ..lets suppose the likes of Frost, Kent Pedersen play full seasons in 2016.. theyll quite likely poll higher than Watts as he is currently travelling. .together with any of Michie White and Newton playing more they too might take some points . We introduce Petracca ..he'll immediately perform better through the year than Watts. Fortunately for Jack Cross is gone..possibly Howe Under these circumstances Watts is struggling for selection...a Best 22 he will not be....unless. he finally clicks and stays clicked All that on known players.. Introduce 2 or so decent mids into the equation and Watts is going to become Cranbourne's poster boy !! sad really

yeah ...but until the circus week officially starts a lot of things are like glue...not going to budge until something causes whats next to it to do so...i.e the knock on effect. I reckon there IS a market for both JT and JW... but it will totally depend upon the other parties...in respect to these guys its a buyers market. The Toump wont be on anyones priority list...but for some clubs might be a case of "at the right price...worth a gamble"...but later in the trading

Its a good question(s) Without doubt this has been brewing for some time. Obviously Geelong knew a bit before the Crows But they all have known for long enough to have formulated a battle strategy for all of this. Also beyond doubt the 4th estate are sensationalising it all as much as possible....sells papers. This looks to me like a game of "blink". Adelaide can steer it their way ( to best possible outcome ) but they are also then treading a fine line. Going to be interesting to see who blinks first. What we do have though is two Clubs that are sensible enough to get deals done.

Some years back I would have put the SANFL as the next strongest league to the AFL.. Now..I dont think so.. So you have the age old problem...yeah these lads are ok at that level...but are often exposed when trying to step up. I acknowledge however that argument holds true for a lot more than just SA
-
A problem i have these days is i DONT rate the SANFL as much chop...so Im wary of SA players

DC is beyond being PC ...OD

Just asking...How is that not building a side. Is exactly what we're trying to do is it not..bring in talent. Planting seeds in the veggie patch and hoping/waiting can only ever provide so much

Am not sold on Bastinac either. Some suggest hed walk into our B22...but that says more about us than him. Id be wanting to set the bar higher so that the RB's of this world ARENT our best 22 It's a "i'll pass" from me Better options out there surely

The forgotten man

There are essentially two elements to the Dangerfield comedy. 1: Is he leaving and preferred destination. 2: The path to facilitate 1 1 is a given 2 is a bit murky and path littered with impediments. There is a defacto 3rd for mine. That being, depending upon the ease and speed of Paddy making his transition there might problems with other trades until it does...or stalls.

well he was a very goode player but human i say...wasnt above the occasional dog act to tell the truth. No one will want to to hear that and besmirch a demi-goode eh. He on his day was a very goode ..no a very very goode player but lets not get carried away.

I'll drink to that !

There's an INTENSE rivalry between Port and Crows. If Hartlett leaves...Port won't be going out of their way to facilitate a trade to Adelaide. ..not this century. Bodes well for us in that respect
