  1. Possibly not. My friends in Adelaide are all but Crows supporters..Only Port devotee is only good for deliberations on Para v Hoffmans v .... Still that said , and given the Silly season proper hasn't been heralded in just yet there are jungle drums banging away. They go more to the idea of who WON'T be shifted from PA... leaves us mortals to wonder...that's all really
  2. I thought its possibly time to look at moving all NON core threads to an AFL one..thats my opinion. WJ has ruled , so be it
  3. I thought this from Generation Dee on the other thread might bear repeating here , hope not being too presumptive http://demonland.com/forums/index.php?/topic/38451-delistingstrades-at-end-of-the-season/?p=1161574 "G Sorry for the typoday all. This is a very drunken message from bali. But I will tell you what I heard tonight. Ollie wines had his heart set on coming to Melbourne. Todd viney rang him 2 days our from the draft to tell him we were not going to pick him. Basically was told we wanted to pick him but we're not sure if we could let Toumpas slide. Ollie was gutted at the time amd for 18 months after. He won't leave port for anyone now as in his words it turned out for the best for him. I can not answer if it was Todd or neeld who said let him slide, my understanding is it was neeld as Todd called Ollie to tell him prior to the draft. The rumour out of port adelaide is they do not expect Hamish hartlett to play there in 2016. He didn't turn up for the footy trip, apparently we offered a huge deal amd if it isn't us, it is sydney. Ollie knows Jimmy Toumpas from underage level and he said Jimmy will be a seasoned afl player. As much as he initially hated not being picked by us, he understands that politics played there part, but I gathered that he won't leave port adelaide period. To.orrow the melbourne players arrive, Sorry for typo. I'm drunk. But that's all I can give for now "
  4. theres plenty of threads which would be better located in a general AFL board. Other forums have it.. can you address the actual question without prejudice keep in mind the description of this Board Melbourne DemonsTalk about the greatest Football Club in the World .... The Melbourne Demons
  5. please... I like the idea within SONS trade...much merit.. just for me , possibly a price either too high..or there might be the idea/opportunity that a side trade goes wanting . Otherwise theryre all reasonable ideas I should think. Not all dis-similar in a way..maybe details Our illustroius FD have proven rather eot of late in pulling rabbits out of hats so Im intrigued (as we all are I supsect ) as to what magic wil lbe conjured this time around
  6. I prefer my merry go round SONS...in so far as we'd end up with potentially 2 very good mids..albeit no picks . I dont mind that Pick 24 ?? whats that worth in this draft ? Not a lot Id say
  7. May I be as bold as to ask yourself why we dont have an area for NON Melbourne players..an AFL board perhaps This isnt about Melb..its not about trading.. is it
  8. Connors has form for dribbling shlt also. Im going with this track record
  9. Im not 100% au fait with the values ..but the dynamics of the merry- go-round seem to work but for me its too dear A pick of around 1-12 ought to get Hartlett to us... this deal costs us 6 and Howe for HH and 24...thats far too much imho
  10. its that "anything can happen " time of year
  11. youve misread.. Not Howe/watts to them...to some other team but we utilise our 6 to add potency to get a good mid off "other " team...then turn around and use mid 1srt rounder received via the H/W's trade to Port for Hartlett
  12. just the composite really of reading between lines and snippets of goss...nothing more..tbh Hartlett would be inside their top 10 easily i reckon.. BUT they have to make room. I made the suggestion somewhere ( cant remember..lol ) that I doubt he would cross the road to the Crows...its just not the Adelaide things...very parochial both those lots. So hed have to come interstate. Then comes down to who would be in position to trade for him...and afford him. We're a little more along a rebuild than some other dwellers so we wont be desperate to hang onto that high pick. It is serious currency. So is pick 10/11/12 etc but them who knows really after that ..its a draft...bit of a raflfe best of times..We WANT/NEED ready to go mids of a good ability Ive seen some ramblings emanating from SA that seem to suggest 6 is overs...again, in context that a mid 1st round pick might suffice. I'm just brainstorming really
  13. fixed
  14. Just as a thought.. Readings elsewhere suggest our pick 6 might not be absolutely necessary. Its possible a slightly later pick..10/11 might also do this trade , if indeed theres one to be had. If thats the case Id be looking to find a swap/trade that went something like.. Howe or Watts...plus pick 6.... for some very decent mid and a pick around 10. This pick goes to Port for Hartlett am i just dreaming...or some merit ?
  15. Now I know youre full of it..the classic response to anything requiring a modicum of intelligence and thought as to what often goes on in the real world. Also to the 'nature of AOTY" If thats all you have youre a first class buffoon !!
  16. Not sure I really comprehend your idea here. Brayshaw came out of the box and hasnt stopped really. Sure tired a little at seasons end but hes young and only had one proper preseason. Already shown hes a decent player with a good footy brain...imho
  17. thought so to.....in big lights it wrote...here's one guy you should get...and one you shouldnt !!
  18. What we need is something to scare the bezeesus out of backlines and have them on the back foot from the get go. This kind of lad ( who's not shy on backing himself in...and i LIKE that ) together with a ready made running mate.. might just work. We'd have the smaller types to crumb etc...suddenly we go from lethargic in the 50 to lethal. Definitely be enquiring as to this bloke's availability !! Only highlights I know...but he shows great awareness and anticipation. That can't be taught ( not really ) . You either have these smarts or you don't. ( we've already got a few that don't )
  19. he can kick...bloody hell
  20. The Hulk Hogan and Hamish Hartlett forward line.... perhaps ??
  21. Why are we even discussing Goodes here on /in a MELBOURNE Board ? we need a General AFL board or similar I suggest for all the stuff that ISNT Melbourne..and isnt about trade I for one am sick to death of reading about this bloke. I know I dont have to ..and thats easier if not here..just saying
  22. but he does
  23. thats fineWe understand you dont.....understand
  24. please ..i rate you.. dont be so naive to the reality of political doctrine. Goodes was convenient.
