2016 Player Review - # 8 Heritier Lumumba
beelzebub replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Hard to judge Harry's position given there's little to go on, directly, but indirectly if you cast around as to how the clubs filling the list I cant see they are desperate for HL to get back. What we know.1) Harry isnt on track nor likely in the near future What we know 2) We have a fair few halfway handy players who could fill a half back role. 2+2= -

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
beelzebub replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in General Discussion
you called it DC !! lol -
Euphoria and Loss of Shyness can in this context translate into over confidence and reduced caution.. Mildly relaxed?? So not fully alert !! Lightheaded ?? >>> wandering concentration !! ooh yeah baby..thats the ideal for a young inexperienced driver ...for sure. Any wonder they are the highest represented in accident statistics !!
-
it's good we got it in writing there eh
-
For you....do you need ask !!

A big difference about this preseason to many prior is that when ever the noobs arrive they are well and truly just apprentices. No ones got any expectations of their mercurial ability to suddenly be "THAT" player...the one to finally lift us. We are past that. Looking forward to my first session of the year whenever I get there. I expect to see a real team training in real footy ideals. Not a kindergarten for dreams !! go Dees and thakks all for the reports...superlative efforts all round

Somewhat ironic that a Demon does a Faustian deal with a Devil. I wont miss anything

Im still not sure who we actually clash with ?
-
for sake of clarity this is the work I was just talking of Between the Blue and the Red versions...cant see what else is needed. They both invoke the new Acorn in a fashion whilst paying respect to the MFC logo. They LOOK like proper jumpers not Touristy Souvenirs of Basketball Singlets The White isnt necessary at all IMHO
-
Funny that . Somewhere above is the illustration of mainly blue, mainly red and mainly white. I would think the blue and red ones would cover any REAL clash were it to exist.
-
The MFC need to stick fat to our history. Its OURS . The league sell out everything and everyone who have no sway The simple stance is to say enough. Play is a reasonable away strip that suits us ONLY when real clash exists otherwise don the red and blue. Make a stand Dees AFL has shown it crumbles. Theyre weak as plss
-
Hard to play for a jumper if it has no identity.
-
Yes, but, even their home strip morphs quite a bit save for a few clubs. But point taken.

2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
beelzebub replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Might be the classic " we're very happy to welcome him to the Melbourne Footy Club. Very surprised and yet gladdened that he was still available with our pick" Does happen -
Epl is poor comparison really. Theyll wear anything often. Hard to dpot the true strip anymore. I don't want that. Nor do we need that. I cant honestly think of any real clash that a nearly all red with slight blue trim wouldn't solve. Again It works for Essendon. Ought to work for us. Even playing them i never had a problem. Still. I grew up able to distinguish between north and pies on a b/w telly !! Its really not that fn hard. The Acorn doesnt translate well to clothing imho. The MFC logo does.

why would you ever play a Home game in the white jumper...irrespective of where ?

2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
beelzebub replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ive paid very little attention to this years draft. . We seem to have changed tack as to how we will go about filing roles and places on the list. Im all for that. Its always been my impression that just about the hardest position on the ground to recruit is Ruck. Its a dark and wonderous science is picking a ruck. But is is with interest I read about Goddard. With good mentoring and tuition he might fill the role with some aplomb , after some time.. Thanks Jack -
These are very VERY good. They look like footy jumpers, not a tourist singlet !! I much prefer the Red to the White. Red emanates much more power as a look.
