Bay Riffin... i agree...its those "seconds" ...al the time.. he hesitates consistantly ly ...there is NEVER the instant pass. teh quick play .. there is the trademark.. "hmm..let me think abou thtis for a moment" You might get away with this in VFL.. but at AFL the oppo has moved to shut down the options by then.. he's just not a smart player.. Bit like a the old lab.. great dog..just not a 'quick'n". I actually wish more would have his desire to play...just wished he could !!

He was certainly one of the few to have any awareness of the part of the ground.. Nearly everyone else was hiding along the boundary!! !!!!!!! Actually it was mainly the kids that wanted to put the ball down the guts !! funny that !!

Davey didnt have a good day...cant remember the last time anyone caught him to tackle !!. I think he was just a bit dumbfounded on the day. He can stay.

In case it has escaped some of you there is more than ONE bloke at Melb who's involved with fitness. etc.. ..but its convenient to blame it all on BB in some sort of witch hunt.. you make me laugh !!!! Once they cross that white line..its down to them ( the players ) There were 22 on the park..of which probably only half a dozen actually turned up to play footy.. Id be looking at them first !!

I think some have yet to take on board the idea we are in for a lot of pain this season. There is no point bringing in older players at the expense of getting more games in some of the newbies. You want Weetra and Bucks to develop...leave them on..their only crime was being raw...not of 'not' trying. !! if they show they dont loook like having "IT"...then replace them. I couldnt care less if we lose every game this year now.. I will however be truly [censored] off if we have tried to win a handful of meaningless games at he expense of bringing some on. You also need to be guarded agaisnt makig wholsael changes wek in week out.. as you break what litel tangible harmony may exist. The boys need to get used to playing with each other. Only those that are truly fit ought get a look in. Otherwise let the shameful buggers make their own restituion!!

Why Buckley ..why Weetra ? Buckley is still raw..but was trying.. Weetra one of the few al lday to read the ball and effect any spoils or turnovers.. sure he stuffed a few thigs up..but given the day..I'll forgive him them !!

Cale was one of the few lights on a dark day.. Its a fair call to say he will only get BETTER... more than a few out there are only going to get WORSE !! There were probably only 5-6 blokes who could walk off with respect that day...Cale was one !!

yep..this was it... laughable to watch. it was an abject lesson in HOW NOT TO PLAY FOOTBALL !!! Most of the problem seemed to stem from the inability of Demons to run.. they were al flatfooted... no presenting.. no options. And If I can figure out the balll is going to Carroll 75% of time only to stagnate.. dont you think the other teams might work this one out too !! <_<

It was quite bizzare on Sunday.. A few of us nearly fell out of our seats as Miller actually kicked the ball..and a number of times.. what was more amazing is that he was one of the few who tried this option.. All in all a very surreal day . The trouble with ol ' Miller is he isnt the quickest thinker out there. There is no multi-dimensionality to his game...its very meat and 3 veg...without the veg !! He hasntt the smarts to do defence well..he gets turned inside out with monotonous regularity. he plays a simpler game.. its more suited to lower leagues..Folks..thats just a reality. Im not sure why bails is persisting with him and if he does my estimation of him will diminish weekly. Im not saying Miller doesnt try...just that it has little effect !! He does seem to have tried to change his game.. but to this observer its all very 'forced'..it doesnt sem a antural proces..so as a result he hesitates..and the opposition pick him nearly every time.. this makes him a liability. Miller as a 3rd tall.. please....can we get a decent 1st tall first !!

Something that strikes me now in hindsight..( as the nightmare that was yesterday rescreens though my mind ) was Jeffs positioning. Now I know he likes to play a kick off the game.. but more often than not he'll position himself near the middle..and act as a kick or second handball option link man to redirecting down the guts.. Yesterday I honestly had trouble finding him at times as he skulked around the bounday for a lot of the game. if he's not set.. give him a run in the magoos

Funny thing about yesteday actually was Brad actually kicked the ball .. it ws everyone else who handballed..lol I think the salty air of TBO is a fine environment for Brad !!

Carroll gave away height, speed and more than a bit in IQ to Buddy !! If Caroll is the calibre of our defence going forward.. then we are stuffed !! its not any harder to describe than that. Unfortunately Carroll trying his best is still an abject failure at AFL level. Its all well and good to try but pointless if is accomplishes nothing of consequence !!
