As I have noted elsewhere id like to see Bail, Sylvia and Jurrah in. Sylvia is definite. but if they have named both Maric and Jetta on the bench then I would think both wont get the gig. Ive noted via the comments of both Bails and Gotch that theyd prefer to see Maric get back closer to goal. if so then is maric a possible rotator through the forward lineup ?? Do we need both Jamar and Johnson for this game ?? I think PJ was named in case of a surprise by Knights, I cant see that being the case. Still a game of chess by Bails and knights to occur me thinks

This will be remembered as the game wenot only stood up to be counted but the day we marched towards our destiny, the MCG is ours !!! Ground control to bomber Tom your engine's dead your powers gone. Jurrrah at 12 o'clock high ... Let the anihilation begin

Brad will be too busy enjoying our resurgence to be to out of sorts lol Brad is a proffesional . Net effect on CB finishing .. Nada
-
If Knights isn't there are a he'll of lot of Bombers out there deputising for him right now lol Keep in mind atpresent for evry 2 he kicks he is instrumental in 3 or 4 others. I'll say right now he'll kick 3 will hand two to Watts and two to Bates and that's 7 goals that wouldn't have happened without LJ

In answering the OP we need to answer a prior criteria. Are we simply looking for somewhere on the field for Jared to continue I.e. For his benefit or do we want the best forwards for our (Demons) benefit ? I want the best team and if that is sans J Rivers then so be it.
-
In order to trade, barter negotiate etc you must have something worth exchanging. There is nothing in Bruce that an emerging club could benefit from. Hes soon to be 31 !! He'll be lucky enough to see out his time in the red and blue. There is ZILCH trade value in Cam.

Possibly as sponsors come and go there will be opportunities to revise a jumper but Im really sick to death of everything from a pajama outfit to 'basic' efort supposedly there to represent this illustrious club. Cant we have some more tradition. Some class..some dedfinition about who we are...its all been so wishy washy. We need determination and resolution. We need to make it stand for something. ..just my view of course

Jared's forte is reading the ball. he has the ability still ( sometimes ) to get his body close enough to his opponent to efect a spill or boundary line throw in. He can also with some skill float across and take a mark. Hes actually not a bad kick but not a big one. Otherwise hed be taking more kick ins. He hasnt the speed to get him self free from a tagging back. If his run is thwarted he wont get to see it ( the pil ) in order to mark it. Hes not our best at ground level so crumbing up front wont be his bag. He has some credentials as a defender...and none as a forward. There are about quite a few others youd put in the arc ahead of Riv..in fact..many !!
-
and a memo to the club... once weve actually got a decent 2nd strip...can we just keep it. Get some games and miles into so it too belongs to this great club !!!! Looking forward to seeing the emblem...and still no one who knows ( i.e has seen ) has made a comment as to its suitability on this kind of jumper. Some comment is welcome cheers

Red.. i can recall a couple of games some years back ..probably 08 ( I think where they had him in the forward 50 for the Zebbies. Talk about a fish out of water !!. Hes a defender, pure and simple. whilst hes recapturing a semblance of a game he had 5 years ago the game itself has gone past that marker. So in many ways ol' Jared is playing catch up footy to the double. Its just not panning out as he or many would want. Thats called reality

actually...this one with the modified motif ( hint of a red outline just to embellish it ) is really quite nice. Possible matchingblue panel on shorts. Its bold, makes impact and looks lke a football jumper with tradition whilst not looking like a fumbled attempt at fashion. Nice stuf 24
-
now were cooking possibly a small blue panel on shorts in line with jumper ?? just negates a bit more white As a player youd be proud to wear that jumper I think. Yes I know the argument you ought to be proud to wear any but am sure they have some misgivings about some of the past outfits !! couldnt humour me with a slight red outline to the mfc ? try it.. you might like it !! lol
-
Nope.. hasnt the leg sped to out run on a lead etc. This has been tried at VFL level with none to exciting results. Reading the play and geting to it are 2 dif things unfortunately.

No Jimi...lets pls keep White to a minimum Socks red..or a variation....NO WHITE !!..would look to much like namby soccer kit !!its not the look for our game !! I do like the suggestion of the red back to yoke but probably the idea is to have the white for contrast..Im with you however. Cheers

Mate I think its fair to say no one hates anyone who dons the jumper. But we are allowed to be critical and express disppoinment where it exists. Even Jared ( reading the recent article ) would be far from happy with where he's at and that in itself is good. He'll want to improve. But can he ? Has he still that potential to draw upon or have we now seen all the cards at his disposal ? if so he is defnitely not in our best 22 if all the list if fit and selectable. He has got some games this year by default. Our opportunity to garner true market value ( or something wed be hapy with ) at trade has passed for Jared. I suggested as did others years ago we should have bit the bullet then. We didnt. He will find it increasingly harder to get a starting gig as others come on or existing build fitness etc. He's insuarance at best...sounds harsh I grant you....life sux sometimes huh!!

hmmm... ought to be interesting to see what transpires for next season. My gut feeleing is the club will seek to utilise our 'emblem' whereever possible to promote its effetiveness and consumate our branding. I like the retention of our yoke... White shorts look ...well... a bit.... lol.. But s'pose were stuck there too.. If there was one thing that might embellish...and I know its picky picky.. would be a slight red outline to the logo. It restates..Red and Blue. Just me again. But a lot of this is subliminal imagery etc. Be interesting again to see what the club rolls out next year Nice work there 24

The name of one player to be recalled is already commanding respect and angst amongst Bomber fans. This man is universally admired and respected. Yes our own X-man... Liam Jurrah. He already cast some spell over them and he has taken to the field yet. Here's a bloke just about everyone loves to watch play. Doesnt it make you feel good he wears red and blue No one player will be able to cover Liam,(hell he can find a path to kick a footy through a DJ_Myers sale opening !! ) so either they attempt to quieten him and open upthe rest of the forward line to Bates and Watts or they gamble on pushing him up field ( which he'll only revel in ) Looking forward to Sunday

Great news all around. "A two-year deal for Rivers is an enormous show of faith. After a horror run with groin injuries, Rivers has enjoyed a consistent season." to say the least 2 out of 3 as they say. To be blunt I think this is some sort of insurance stop-gap until another defender gets up to speed. whilst Jareds season has indeed been far more consistent it really isnt at a level where we want it or the level he used to play at. granted teh games picked up a pace and thats soethinghe hasnt got. Still good luck to Riv..and well done to other lads. Buckle yourselves in for the ride
-
Jurrah has a brilliantly instinctive footy brain. Just let him roam.. the opposition will have to cover him and think there's a plan. Jurrah static is not good.
-
something along these lines has merit. Something not quite right about the yoke , not sure ..just not quite right, probably just me. Otherwise its getting very near the answer I reckon. ( still dont like the white..but if we have to)
-
yep...won the firsts...lost the seconds!!
-
A little too Sweeney Tood for my liking !! lol
-
Its Jurrah time :) bet Knights is already worried...lol

reckon we might only win 2 more but our draw (2p) will just float above a pack
