The aspect that makes it intriguing is the timing. Most coaching positions via the merry go round sorted themselves out months ago . If simply a case of pursuing a dif gig why didn't he move camps once the drafting finished ? I suspect 'things" were clarified and egos were ruffled. Neeld when he got to the club expressed his opinion about the holes in the list. Well list makers as the name suggests make lists. Predergast was a major component in the makeup of our list....a list found wanting. Since Neeld arrived we chased and got a player the type of which wasnt on BP's radar. Weve recruited types which were BP's past types and BP has gone. quack...quack...quack !!

Personally I dont think theyll 'miss' out onmuch at all. . There are possibly those that wont buy what ever it is they want to but manywill simply delay that purchase until its ready. A couple of grand v a couple of million...for 3-4 years..!!! hardly worth even worrying about is it.

I suppose it seems odd, But only in terms of timing. Once the Rookies were in the bag the big job of the recruiters is over for the year. It would have made some sense that Barry packed upand went then as the Caoching caousel seemed still in full rotational mode. So he goes now with a view to coaching... or whatever. It really doesnt matter. Theres still a whole swag of our recruiting in pllace , am sure another more than capable replacement will be sought and got and the world keeps turning.
