  1. as a neutral at the game i thought it was a great contest bears might be unbalancing their side if they bring in neale with a bung calf that midfield core of mcluggage and will ashcroft with another rotating through is incredible
  2. tim watson spruiked that one like stevie j, there might be some 'spots' on these former puddy tatts
  3. i don't mind the northcote theatre it's like a temu forum my biggest complaint is that it's a bit 'boomy' as a room
  4. who'd you see?
  5. the greatest ability remains availability mcadam is infrequently able to get on the park has skills, but is up against it to forge a career
  6. Exhibit C: Chris Scott Exhibit D: Dangerfield as long as the bears win it all i'm not fussed who they beat net week
  7. tim lamb last spotted lurking with a re-upped four year deal...
  8. isn't it his lack of these that has kept him out of gc17's side? that's certainly the impression i have had averages just over 2 tackles per game, less than half a goal assist per game, and only 1.5 i50s per game in the few afl games he's played vfl stats from @WheeloRatings indicate in the vfl his averages per game bounce to: 18.1 disposals 1 goal per game 3.7 score involvements 3.2 tackles 0.7 tackles i50 wouldn't want to give up much for him - wonder what he's 'worth' we definitely need a pressure forward, but one who impacts the scoreboard too... but so too does just about every team
  9. I’ve referenced this rant multiple times in the last few days… Pertinent to this thread: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09-18/afl-player-movement-merrett-curnow-simpkin-paul-roos-analysis/105784732?utm_source=abc_news_app&utm_medium=content_shared&utm_campaign=abc_news_app&utm_content=link
  10. Likely no sub in 2026 @WERRIDEE
  11. Pete Ryan lives there and is mad filth
  12. it's his job as a journalist? gets way more correct than not, which people seem to hate
  13. geez i would hope heath doesn't cost us a second round pick unrestricted free agent: mihocek delisted free agent: derksen 2025 3rd: heath rookie: white rookie: sinnema 2026 1st: flanders

  15. i presume murphy is the favourite? same way that dogga jackson was, i guess? fits the eligibility criteria
  16. the report yesterday said the true cost will be closer to $1.8bn
  17. they want a team, but 2/3rd don't want the stadium from the last lot of polling done earlier this year martin flanagan summed it up better than anyone: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/i-love-tassie-footy-and-we-need-a-team-but-the-afl-s-stadium-ultimatum-takes-a-special-kind-of-arrogance-20250609-p5m5x8.html the afl don't stay as a wealthy nfp by actually paying for anything - that's what governments are for!
  18. Slowly, on crutches
  19. $200m for an extra 365 days
  20. He’s not ahead of Sharp, he’s behind him, given that one regularly appeared in the afl side Arguably behind Mentha too given that Henderson can’t get on the field in the back half of the season Availability is of course the #1 ability a player needs
  21. the sooner that is allowed along with trading of players under contract the better
  22. if find it interesting that @goodwindees ' recruiter friend doesn't overly rate him crom are in need of a line-breaking half back, where's flagmantle are not i'm assuming that the latter is the 'contact' until notified otherwise
  23. i actually think simpkin is a seriously underrated player i'd rank him alongside merrett - great player who does not have a 'winning' impact upon games of footy, if that makes sense? he's a midfielder pure and simple; they tried him as the gut-running half forward and it didn't work
  24. ninefax knows who butters their bread in vic, and it's not the nsw-based nrl run by horseman
