function and events facilities is seemingly a big part of this pitch too
  2. so far they've gone for ollie wines and jack viney i would imagine luke parker is very much in consideration as well
  3. you forgot... 1. is goodwin the right guy? ii. is roffey the right gal? c) is pert a stooge inserted into our club by eddie?
  4. huge blow imo three heart-and-soul players lost in the space of a year brutal
  5. i didn't, but fortunately, there's google... riposte:
  6. it sounds like stafford, at least, will go as a result of being out of contract mcqualter and chaplin both contracted for 2025
  7. fortunately, you can walk and chew gum at the same time
  8. loss to flagmantle in the alice into king's birthday no teams gets dismantled like we did that day and then show such a lack of desire in a big game like king's birthday, compounded by losing our best / second best player, and is likely to play finals i thought our start to the year was very encouraging, given the off-season, but we completely came to a halt mid-year
  9. there's a difference between evidential data and 'the vibe' the former has pickett tracking to be one of the best small forwards since aaron davey reinvented the position - better than stephen milne and eddie betts, and comparable with charlie cameron and cyril rioli 'the vibe' has it that we want to see so much more from him as an output basis and also from a consistency data output from game to game rather than highs and lows from game to game, let alone quarter to quarter i think both @BLWNBA and @Norm Smith's Curse can be generally speaking 'correct' in their positions i think pickett is a helluva player - much like davey, his high level output will ultimately see him transitioning beyond being 'only' one of the best small forwards of his era

    sparrow
  11. so in terms of replacing his high half-forward / gut running wing / occasional midfielder role, do we all just presume it's tom sparrow who'll have to step into the breach to allow trac to rotate forward as a 'weapon' i50? i query whether sparrow is up to doing the job as well as nibbs
  12. it's really upsetting to lose a player of his ilk in his prime he's worth far more to us than what we will receive for him really irritating
  13. the problem with will brodie and deven robertson and players like that is that they don't have an particular weapons or traits that make them a standout player they're the harmes / dunstan type depth players at good sides for a reason, and i don't think they'll particularly stand out in poorer sides i'd rather a ben keays type, which is ironic that anb is linked to the crom, as keays plays a very similar role to him there
  14. pretty much my thought too there's a big difference between our first round pick + future 1st when the current year's component is 6 vs when it's 13
  15. Houston is a significantly superior player to Cummings
  16. If he was in red and blue this weekend he’d be our #1 midfielder
  17. So… I know we expect him to play and perform in the last few weeks, but should he be playing? What happens if he cops a significant injury? Also, if an agreement can’t be reached with the Crom or the Pear, will he be amenable to staying on at MFC or will he retire?
  18. it's a real shame but... if he wants to go, he wants to go
  19. Well this just sucks
  20. I was right then and I’m righter now!
  21. great bump greatest ruckman the game has ever seen
  22. his knee clearly limits his mobility from time to time - it bothered him all the way through the back half of 2022 and seems to crop up and bother him every now and then over the last two years he would still suit our game style perfectly; it's such a shame he left, more so than hogan i believe we got more 'value' for him than any other player traded in the afl i'm confident that jefferson and windsor - the players we effectively received for him - will be players for us for some time i wish him all the best, but i hope dog never tastes premiership success again
  23. clearly the case i'd rather another game in town i could attend, but we can't turn up our noses at the cash
  24. calshear dear is going to be a great tall forward for dingley it seems like father-sons, nga picks are the easiest way to get great kpp talent come on down ah-mu and white
