Changes to “Holding the Ball” Rule
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
One of the advantages of being a Sunday game - the umpires should have ‘relaxed’ the overcorrection by then -
Yeah, he is - a small coming in and able to play a role defensively and at ground level is far more likely to appear at afl level than a speculative tall

I love how some rule changes are addressed with “we’ll look at that in the off-season” and others get this knee jerk reaction -

i had quick squizz on his thread on bigfooty draft board - north fans reckon they're offering him $1m a year for 6 years to jump across to them hawks fans also think they're a big chance to land him i hope we are, as they say, "in the conversation"
-
i don't think that quite works, as they're both unrestricted free agents melbourne gets no compo as one free agent comes in and one goes out
-
i would be very surprised if they decided to 'rest' windsor or play him in the vfl
-
i don't care if we're boring, as long as we win as someone at a club said to me recently, "you don't have to play well to win"

whatwhat say what replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Trade, Draft & Free Agency
wasn't the prediction recently that there might not be a single wa kid drafted this year? -
Yep, absolute superstar
-
unrestricted free agent too
-
it'll still be another thriller
-
that's rhyce 'supercoach superstar' shaw
-
this is what i hope as well, and ultimately it'll allow petty to return to his premiership / 'natural' position of defence
-
i know he didn't get a lot of it, but petty was outmarked once yesterday i think? at the worst he tends to bring the ball to ground tomlinson was outmarked 1:1 on several occasions
