  1. great bump greatest ruckman the game has ever seen
  2. his knee clearly limits his mobility from time to time - it bothered him all the way through the back half of 2022 and seems to crop up and bother him every now and then over the last two years he would still suit our game style perfectly; it's such a shame he left, more so than hogan i believe we got more 'value' for him than any other player traded in the afl i'm confident that jefferson and windsor - the players we effectively received for him - will be players for us for some time i wish him all the best, but i hope dog never tastes premiership success again
  3. clearly the case i'd rather another game in town i could attend, but we can't turn up our noses at the cash
  4. calshear dear is going to be a great tall forward for dingley it seems like father-sons, nga picks are the easiest way to get great kpp talent come on down ah-mu and white
  5. not the aints tho...
  6. yes easily he'll get more attention playing in melbourne, purely and simply as the majority of the afl industry is based here
  7. this who cares about turnout at the end of the day - the media narrative? it makes zero difference to the broadcast rights, which is where the majority of the money comes from in the competition big turnouts are awesome, but not going to happen for us as we are not a 'big' club by any stretch of the imagination, and certainly not on a saturday nite against a non-vic side we have an older supporter base i'm expecting we'll have more sunday slots in 2025
  8. goodwin has been clear since the bye round that we're sticking with petty jvr - fritsch - turner / melksham as our forward structure i see no reason to adjust that with two games to go in the season unless there's an injury that justifies it el jefe is not doing anything like enough to force his way into the mfc side for the time being he needs a big preseason ahead of 2025
  9. runs hard for four quarters, wins his own ball, collects it out on the outside, kicks it beautifully looks ready made for the mcg get him while he's there; he should have at least 7 more seasons in him
  10. presumably was draft eligible last season i believe
  11. riak playing this season as an 'over-ager' at under 18 level nowhere near as quality as mac
  12. what has happened to the centre square set-ups and the lack of defensive accountability at stoppages? for a team supposedly built around the maxim of 'contest and defence' we are losing at the contest and not defending exits it should be shockingly easy to rectify but that hasn't happened all season long
  13. saw that too i think he was just following horne-francis at the time, sticking to him as best as glue can
  14. 6: pickett 5: gawn 4: neal-bullen 3: petty 2: viney 1: salem
  15. Less than 4000 in the mcc members tonight apparently
  16. why, in the kangas vs meth coke game, are the maggots wearing a light blue colour shirt? i reckon at least twice north players have tried to kick it to the umpire cos they've looked up and seen someone in a similar colour to their blue stripes who on earth is in charge of this stuff? surely just put them in a colour NOT USED BY EITHER TEAM good grief the afl is just a clusterfart of incompetence
  17. if terms of comparative sizes / shapes / styles of player, are tom hawkins and mac andrew the closest analogies, @DistrACTION Jackson?
  18. didn't think fly particularly attacked the maggots - nothing to see here, not even a 'please explain' required
  19. not expectant; hopeful tho
  20. Fly will get a “please explain”, I’d think Then he can “please explain” what’s happened to the filth this year - their drop off has been fantastic to see
  21. Makes sense - experienced leader who can bring the rest of the team with him Straight swap for Sheezel, or should they hafta throw in a second round pick as a sweetener?
  22. agree with all this but i'm pretty sure he did his acl on the training track he broke his foot int he final stages of rehabbing from the knee knack, playing basketball in bare feet on a backyard court
  23. only from a media narrative he has no sway or involvement in negotiations he's also a pear legend and jason cripps' close mate, so unsurprising he'd want to see them 'do well' in negotiations meaningless medja bleating at the end of the day
  24. dusty also didn't rip a tendon off the bone shortly after signing the 'lifetime' deal nor see the team's fortunes plummet around him clayton will get back to his better self with a full pre-season under his belt and more control over his personal circumstances he might never get back to his absolute best, which was the greatest midfielder i've seen at the dees but i'm confident - based upon the highlights of games in 2024 - that he will get more consistency back into his performances, which is the big difference in his performances since the injury last year in the wet vs the pear
  25. i do wonder how much of the pear being willing to trade houston is dependent on them landing one of perryman or cumming
