GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
We wouldn’t beat Carlton or GC17 the way we are playing No one can hit a target, midfielders don’t work defensively, we are slow on transition and look completely devoid of any skill whatsoever Its last year’s QB all over again

GAMEDAY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
No nerves today cos I have zero expectations; they are the second best side in the competition and we are the third worst Just hoping we look better and play to 2018 level... ...just can’t see it happening for us today

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Collingwood VFL
when spargo is playing well he's involved in score chains - they're backing his ability and competitive drive to get him back to being the player he was last year anb and stretch had opportunities and failed; now it's spargo's turn to get a go to prove he belongs at afl level at the moment if lockhart hadn't been ANOTHER of our 'wait...he's injured?!??' players then i doubt spargo would have the opportunity that he now does re kolodjashnij, i thought his dinky little kicks and his ability to execute the switch were really poor - regularly missed targets or seemed to nail the oppo on the chest he went hard when it was his turn tho, and best of all he was INVOLVED in the play one thing i don't understand is whether or not they see him in the back flank sweeper role in the afl or more of a wing role? he definitely looks more comfortable behind the ball at vfl than he did on the wing at afl (no surprise there) if he does show the sort of form that warrants afl selection then presumably that will free salem up to play a more attacking role, which will help the side's disposal going i50 too

dunkley was injured the majority of his u/18 year, last year, wasn't he? he looks a smooth mover in traffic, knows his way around goal, and loves a tackle - basically, very similar to his brother

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Collingwood VFL
well that was very encouraging goes to show how much better you look when you have 13 afl-listed players performing at vfl level as opposed to our usual 6-10 for the majority of the year thus far

CASEY: Rd 10 vs Collingwood VFL
am i wrong or is the team playing a slightly different, more possession-based gameplan as opposed to the regular chaos footy that we've seen at both afl and vfl level?

Sam Weideman Re-signs Until 2021
i'm a big fan of the weed, so very happy with this confirmation of commitment he hasn't even played 30 games and he's already dominated a final and then played very well against two of the best performed sides of the last dozen years will be a serious player

That’s a lot of dosh for a flanker who has yet to show that much
-
Guy Walker's New Role
they talked about this on the real footy podcast a couple of months ago his body is clearly not made for afl
-
PREGAME: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
He was, but he also had good form in the vfl leading up to his debut He had actually earned it
-
Zak Jones
He’s worth a first round / second round to the Swans and a second / third round to another club If he’s leaving the Swans he’ll have a share of suitors As others have said, he’s a classic nqr / good ordinary player
-
Jordan Lewis To Retire this Year
It’ll be interesting to see if he goes straight down the coaching path or diverts to media He has an incredible football brain He’s been okay for us - our backline looks far more organized with him instructing His experience in the finals last year was invaluable
-
Braydon Preuss: The Forgotten Man
he's barely fit enough to run out three-quarters of a vfl game and blows up after a half of afl his fitness level is coming from a long, long way back

AFL Hall of Fame Tonight
the lack of promo for this evening indicates a fairly lowkey set of inductees, i suspect?

his strike rate of players drafted late in the prelim final last year suggests he's doing okay, plus others such as fritsch and hunt weren't around already with last year's draft crop i think everyone agrees that hore is in our best 22 harmes is probably our second best mid for the year taylor is not the problem
