He's an inside mid who is getting 20-25 possessions a game in the vfl. Sad to say but that's not exactly banging down the door to replace one of Oliver, Jones, Viney, Tyson, Lewis or Vince. I would love to see him back and firing...but it's obviously less rather than more likely.
-
Concussions are an issue but his lack of speed to get to contests and woeful field kicking under zero pressure are far bigger concerns - he's a mid rotation who based upon 2016-17 doesn't get much of it and doesn't use it well.

Blues also in the market: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/blues-face-1-million-black-hole-as-sponsor-pulls-out-20170510-gw20yl.html

not a free agent, so we'd have to give to get. dogs would demand two first rounders you'd expect.

does he have the pace and the skills to make it as an 'outside' player? i have my doubts.

no chance

Werribee Tigers v Casey Demons

Geez, that's quite the game for Milkshake. Don't forget the '2 reports' as well tho Great to see Kent laying 8 tackles. -
I've been making the comparison to North too. We might make finals 5 out of 7 years, get to the prelim a couple of times, but we don't look like anything more than 'good, ordinary' side. I'm actually loving how competitive we are this year - scores level or we have been in front in the last quarter of every game thus far this year. We just need to win the close ones!

our best player, our most important player, one of the standout ruckmen in the competition... yeah, fair to say we're missing him

angriest i've seen him post match.

Werribee Tigers v Casey Demons

from the mfc site match report: Melksham’s report came after a collision with Werribee’s Matthew Hanson at a centre bounce. Hanson stood up to receive the free kick and played out the match. But by the 25-minute mark of the third term, Melksham found himself in more hot water, with the umpire taking his number for a second time after another run in with Hanson. -
Hard to see much other than that. If Wagner goes out injured then presumably Melksham will replace, and if Vince does get suspended - again, for being stupid and getting sucked in, again - then is it finally time to give Trengove another go?

Game over? We can't win a contest and we can't score

We look terrible. Disposal sub standard and their pressure killing us

Should win, must win... their team still looks so good on paper... nerves kicking in...

I remember a stat not too long that we have one of the best supporter > member > attendee ratios going. 40k might not be a huge amount - but those that are signed up are loyal and most importantly turn up to games.

Rule change may be to our huge disadvantage

Max takes marks all around the ground - that, not just his ruck work, is his biggest weapon. If they turn it into 'last kick untouched generates a free kick' it will be a travesty. But, yes, you definitely get the sense it's coming. -
SPS for the Blues looks a jet.

When you factor in that $500k will become the new $750k, plus you've got to prise him out of Sydney, it'll take an offer of some sort to shake him free. If we could get him for $500k under the new CBA he'd be 'cheap' - apart from the whole being so injury-prone and inconsistent thing. I'd much rather we chase Lever but considering that Reid will come 'free'...well...
-
I could watch $cully turning it over all day e'ryday

Yup, GW$ reduced rotations and losing a defender has hurt, and now their early good run with the maggots is getting the 'evener-upper'. I can't believe I agree with BT - all they need to do is slow it down for the next two minutes and GW$ will struggle to get it done with under 4 minutes to go.
-
Aints are doing a lot right but a lot wrong at the same time. Ye gods I loathe GW$.

reid has been on $500k a year for the last five years, having signed a what was then 'mega-deal' as a 19 year old who'd just played a key role in a premiership-winning side. 25 year old free agent chf's down appear that often; he'll command closer to $750-900k a year to land from the swans. he is extremely injury-prone and pretty inconsistent for mine.

so is ours
