  1. i'd said it before but i don't think trac will ever have a break-out game - he's very comfortable having those 15-25 disposal, 0.1-3 goal, 3-7 marks, 1-4 tackle games so that when it's at the upper echelon - say 22 disposals, 2 goals 1, 6 marks, and 3 tackles - he looks like he's going to go to the next level he's also a completely different sort of player to de goey who is more of a marking target up front than petracca ever will be
  2. that'd be a terrible deal if he was a manager; below the average wage he's a key forward, which are pretty rare, and our whole structure is built around him and t mac i'm very confident he'll sign up
  3. nor weed or t mac every time one of them relieved max last saturday our entire forward line structure fell down - at one stage they were kicking to spargo as a 'leading forward'
  4. o mac can read the ball in flight better than frost and then isn't anything like as wasteful in possession as frost, but is physically out-bodied and has a turning circle of a mack truck frost is a bigger body and quicker but is just not a footballer very interesting that we've kept both when you consider cats really only have hawkins and ratugolea as a tall forward duo, then rohan as a midsize surrounded by smaller types
  5. de goey is listed as 188cm but there's just no way - at one stage grimes was standing next to him, and he's 193cm tall, and it appeared de goey was TALLER
  6. is de goey the best full forward in the competition?
  7. tigers in all sorts
  8. Sadly, news has come thru that Dunn has done his knee in the first half of the vfl practice game
  9. 75k according to mcg
  10. given the rumours swirling, i'll now go... IN: May, KK, Lockhart OUT: Frost, C Wagner, Viney B: Jetta - May - Hore HB: Salem - O Mac - Hibberd ? Jones - Brayshaw - Fritsch HF: Petracca - T Mac - Spargo F: Melksham - Weideman - ANB Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: KK - Hunt - Sparrow - Lockhart
  11. head-scratcher! good luck to the kid, but what role will he play??
  12. Ferals over the filth Cola over Cows Peptides over Aints Pear over Caaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarltank Meth Coke over GW$ Bears over the future Tasmania Poos & Wees over Footscray Jokers over GC17
  13. Loved Maxi as a player, how he didn't play more for Australia truly beggars belief https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/australian-state-cricket-legend-michael-klinger-details-once-in-a-lifetime-opportunity-at-melbourne-football-club/news-story/36cc6ab7d8bfe9720b92f1ea2f9957b7
  14. Old Dee is just Hanrahan, and believes all is doom and gloom As Crackers used to say, when things are glum, there’s worse to come! Yarra Park still moving ahead as a best case scenario
  15. Get the Hawthorn bloke $cully - busted, broken, forgotten...back by round 2 Wingard - initially our for 4-6, back in 2 Mitchell - thought to be out for the entire season, likely will return if finals are in the offing (and it’s Hawthorn, OF COURSE finals are a better than even money chance)
  16. Kayo is not 4k Fox have been at pains to promote that the only way to get 4K is to have an iq4 box
  17. I think O Mac will always be preferred to Frost because he can actually read the ball in flight and then dispose of it cleanly when it’s in his possession Frost is an honest battler who is terrible under a high ball and has some of the worst kicking skills in the competition He’s a good honest battler, but a liability when under pressure
  18. there is no way amazon would be looking at small fry like afl; if he's lucky, it'll be disney thru espn / espn+ / cbs (channel 10), but his best bet is that uncle rupert lives for another three years and he wants to pony up the cash again for nrl / afl / cricket, all of which are out of contract at the same time for the first time (and i'm not even counting super rugby and ffa deals, which will also be up for renewal at the start of 2023) gilligan is dreaming and afl is just a skinny idiot waiting to be squished by the real business men
  19. is that you, hanrahan? we'll all be rooned!
  20. After a great win at taxpayer stadium this Saturday we’ll rocket past 50k
  21. spargo knows how to use the footy when he finds it, and actually has some pace - he just doesn't lay a tackle as he's a 19 year old, still developing strength i personally don't think you can play frost and hunt in the same side; yes, they both have line-breaking speed, but neither can hit a target by foot couldn't disagree with you more re lewis - the loss of him on the eve of round 1 was a massive blow as he controls our backline and is a must to have someone with a semblance of understanding of where to position themselves defensively, cos hibberd as our other backline leader can't / doesn't do it, and jetta leads by example rather than instruction, and to compare him to watts is laughable brayshaw's skills are terrible, but he's brilliant at finding the footy - he's nowhere near mitchell's class at this stage it's one game in, there's nothing to panic about, but there are obvious concerns at this stage we got SMASHED for contested ball against meth coke, in the jlt match-ups, and against the pear if you don't win the ball, you always look slow
  22. FWIW Mumford played in a NEAFL practice game today, despite being ‘internally suspended’ by GW$
  23. massacre still reckon they will be okay in the long run
  24. peptides have continued on with their preseason form, and look terrible
