2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
whatwhat say what replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
can't see higgins falling as low as 13 either. scouts i speak to rate him the best 'pure mid' behind uniak in the draft. and i 100% agree re fogerty - he's a half back swooper, not a mid -
i just can't see trengove coming in on the wide open expanses of subi. either jkh has knocked the door down at vfl level and takes his spot or it's a simple skipper out, maximus in

List Structure: What do we actually need?
whatwhat say what replied to Mach5's topic in Melbourne Demons
in an ideal world we could benefit from: - an inside-outside star in the making would be fantastic (e.g. a josh kelly, andrew gaff, luke shuey type) - someone who can be a goalkicking threat up forward but also take part in ruck contests (e.g. sort of like peter wright) - a line-breaker with outstanding delivery skill to leading forwards (e.g. neck tatts) it'll be very interesting to see what we do. #trustintodd&taylor -

Yeah, I am presuming he'll stay, too Let's go get GW$' Kelly! -
Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever

O Mac was magnificent today I honestly think Lever would make us a better side...but where does he fit in? 2x Macs and Frost, plus Hibberd and Jetta, then rebound in Hunt and Salem, plus Lewis, Vince and Jones rotating through defensively...how does Lever fit in? -
Demonland Player of the Year - Round 13
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6 - T Mac 5 - O Mac 4 - Hibberd 3 - Lewis 2 - Oliver 1 - Salem that was an incredible 'team' win it was so good to watch -
Spot on Bugg and Trac have a strut but they back it up by doing the little things
-
He's not let him goalside once yet, Jake is going really well Our defensive intensity is top notch - pressure that we are putting on is incredible Just gotta keep it up all day, not have any lapses - lead isn't enough that we will ever be safe, particularly on this quick deck
-
oh, absolutely - their best players are their best players kreuzer is such an important part of their side, and will be a challenge for whatever happens with our rucks when we play them in a couple of weeks but i think this is about where they should be - as you say, their experience and talent is seriously good talent and experience they're better than they showed for a few years. and with their raft of cheap gw$ acquisitions - some of which will work out, some of which won't - they're a lot more skilled than they were previously but it still comes down to kreuzer, gibbs, murphy, simpson, wright, daisy, and even levi, then their young talent is clear with the likes of cripps, weitering, docherty, marchbank and sps what happens when that senior core cop injuries, lose form and / or retire is the $64m question inside the visy brown bag
-
plowman and marchbank are better than 'just okay' i think. carlton are super well drilled. haven't scored over 100 points in 23 weeks apparently, but they're getting the wins - they remind me a lot of us under roos' second year. the trick will be if they can transition into an offensively-minded team too
-
except mick completely ignored the fact that whilst we've had poor quarters we've never been 'out' of games
-
huge game with a massive fillip for the winner either way pressure is all on the dogs to perform can't wait for the game, shame it's at docklands!
-
how'd stretch go?
-
It's a perpetual state
-
GC17 hit the front, but Baby Judas looks sore
-
his reinvention as a key defender has been a masterstroke
-
trengove is up against it to play afl again
-
he doesn't drop his knees; he keeps his centre of gravity low and it's beholden upon the tackler not to clock him above the shoulders - he makes it very hard
-
it's still a free kick. bolton is moulding something pretty good at the blues, i think. unfortunately.
-
why are gc17 letting blues set up with docherty as a loose behind the ball? recipe for disaster
-
Polec has done his hammy?
-
He doesn't duck but he absolutely draws the free - presumably Selwood was his hero growing up
-
you can see that brisbane, if they can hold onto their players (which they appear to be doing), could get a lot better very quickly. particularly if schache can give them a secondary target forward.
-
Good game now!

sorry, i like watching em. outstanding pressure.
