  1. the last of our key out of contract players?
  2. his tackling is fantastic where do you get the afl gifs from?
  3. weid reads the play beautifully, kicks like a mule, has a great attitude, works hard at ground level and is just a smidge away from clunking those marks he goes for the one that really stands out to me is stretch - 13 tackles thirteen! thirteeeeeeeeeeen!! impressive numbers to go with 22 possessions
  4. Pies fans don't like Docklands perhaps? Meth Coke would have more fans in Melbourne than Port and GW$ combined too
  5. I went to our game and to Richmond-GW$ Our game had more atmosphere Neither were great, but they had nearly 8k more fans there Of course, Richmond have nearly DOUBLE our membership...so where were their fans?
  6. I'm at the G - Tigers first 15 minutes was pathetic but since then they've been dominant
  7. hes going to be a superstar
  8. Melksham won't play as a defender again - his role as the stopper up forward and ability to hit the scoreboard is terrific I don't see Trengove getting dropped next week, but it is possible the week after with Vince coming back But who knows what will happen btw then and now
  9. O Mac not getting near enough love; he was fantastic defensively
  10. Awesome work drunkn Any highlights you can share this evening will be appreciated!
  11. One of the most exciting players in the competition Brilliant work Jason Taylor
  12. Everything will depend on whether Jones comes back You get the sense it's either JKH or Trengove who would be lowest on the totem pole to lose their spot; sentimentality I would much prefer to see Trenners stay in, but I thought both were serviceable today Would love to see 'no change' if Jones is not right to reward what was a fantastic team effort today
  13. 6: Hibberd 5: T Mac 4: O Mac 3: Hunt 2: Melksham 1: Oliver
  14. I thought BenKen was signed up til end of 2018?
  15. AVB, ANB (and hopefully Trengove) only key players remaining to sign?
  16. THE final siren has sounded on the VFL reserves, the Development League. Clubs had been campaigning to save the competition, calling it an essential bridge between the TAC Cup and VFL seniors. They said it gave opportunities to hundreds of aspiring players, many of them graduates of the Under 18s. But last night AFL Victoria CEO Steve Reaper told presidents and general managers that the VFL executive would be recommending to the AFL Victoria board that the Development League be wound up at the end of the season. The board will meet tomorrow. Full article: https://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/vfl-reserves-afl-victoria-sounds-final-siren-for-development-comp/news-story/ee53738e9a5d6e5375917ad67b0bf310
  17. Really looking forward to seeing what he can do but the above is not true - his field kicking was one of the main reasons he was dropped earlier this year; he couldn't hit a target by foot to save himself, particularly on short range kicks under little pressure I still worry that the head knocks have affected his ability to execute the basics of football As a half-forward moving through midfield he simply wasn't winning enough of the ball either or really having a massive effect on the balance of play I still think he has it in him to be a very good player, but he's going to have to work hard to get back into the side next year, let alone this year
  18. I don't understand why we didn't challenge It's not like he was risking three weeks, was it?
  19. expect that to the be the bombers, not us, adding to the number of games played in the nt nt news has an interesting take on it all here
  20. It's always harder to make this call after watching on tv 6 - Hunt 5 - Lewis 4 - Hibberd 3 - Melksham 2 - Vince 1 - JKH
  21. Two for the hit on Betts, three for the one on Douglas Silly Bernie
  22. who was the travelling emergency? i presume stretch
  23. most bodacious. crazy to think he's not even cracked up 35 games until tonight how many did he play in the vfl before debuting? it would have to be less than 20, wouldn't it? edit: from what i can tell, 15 senior vfl, 4 development league
  24. Bruce remains a miles better commentator than the vast majority of his contemporaries Be interesting to see how Cats go against Hawks today Only watched a quarter and a bit of the peptides big win, but it looked to me that Saints weren't chasing at all
