At the game, Tigers look a significantly stronger but side, but Hawks are hanging on

The search for a big man ...
post-season meat market is about looking to 'improve' your list, which i guess why a ruckman (who can also rotate forward) would seem to be a primary aim of preuss and roughead, i'd take the former every time from my understanding, a lot of what has held him back at north is that he's simply not fit enough for modern afl football

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
he wouldn't hit that target by foot, that's for sure...
-
Gerard Whately is a Moron
He’s one of the best play-by-play callers in the afl As a counterbalance to Slobbo on 360 he plays that role to perfection As a stand-alone radio host he leaves a lot to be desired

Favourite Current Dee
Nev over Gawn over Clayton over Jones over Plugger Mac

Changes v Geelong - Elimination Final
It’s all going to come down to Tyson’s recovery If his flesh wound from surgery has healed, I reckon he’ll play Viney and Hannan for JKH / Tyson and Kent I don’t particularly want to drop JKH, but it’s a choice btw him and Spargo...and I really like what the latter brings in terms of his ‘smarts’ with ball in hand; JKH has been very good the last few weeks however, which is not something that I was expecting to say as we head into finals!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Everything could potentially change with the the 6-6-6 ‘number of the beast’ structure that clubs will forced to align with at centre bounces next season Will clubs increasingly go 3 talls / 3 smells in forward and backlines? Will be interesting to see... If we do: B: Jetta - O Mac - Lever HB: Salem - Frost - Hibberd ? Jones - Brayshaw - Viney HF: Petracca - Hogan - ANB F: Weideman - T Mac - Melksham Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Lewis - Tyson - vandenBerg - Fritsch Emerg: Spargo - Hannan - Hunt - J Smith If we stick with the relative ‘small ball’ line-up: B: Jetta - O Mac - Hibberd HB: Salem - Lever - Lewis ? Jones - Brayshaw - Viney HF: Petracca - Hogan - ANB F: vandenBerg - T Mac - Melksham Foll: Gawn - Oliver - Harmes I/c: Tyson - Hannan - Weideman - Fritsch Emerg: Spargo - Frost - Hunt - J Smith If the 6-6-6 comes in, particularly if it’s coupled with reduced rotations, I would expect it to be the ‘tall’ line-up that may be preferred

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
Shiel plays a very selfish brand of football for mine...I’d happily have him but he needs a lot of adjustments to his role to benefit any club he goes to I think it’s all a moot point, however, as we don’t have the assets to trade, unless we want to give up significant best 22 players

Bernie Vince Retires
Such a shame it is likely he doesn’t get to play finals with us

2018 AFL NAB NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER
Everyone will be pushed further back with priority picks and academy selections Pick 32 could end up closer to pick 40...and the pick we traded for Lever - currently #14 - could be pushed back closer to #20

Jimmy Toumpas
toumpas' year as a premiership player in 2011 with woodville-west torrents in the sanfl as a 16 year old in his fifth game at senior level was sensationally exciting toumpas in 2011: he was lean, quick, and a really neat kick who was capable of being a 75 metre player - he'd run 25 with a couple of bounces and roost it 50 his year as a south australian skipper in 2012 was absolutely sensational; he was being talked about as a likely top two pick and compared to nathan buckley aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then he had a double hip operation between the end of the championships and the draft period and he was never the same again - he lacked power in his legs both from a running and a kicking perspective he has never had any trouble getting a heap of the pill at both sanfl and vfl level...unfortunately, he's proved to be far from afl-level...compare above at 16 to his farewell from port video: his body shape has never developed and he now looks undersized when compared to his contemporaries unfortunately he would appear to be another in a long line of players who are good enough for a lower level but not the top echelon

Nathan Freeman
wasn't the choice btw him, salem, and lewis taylor with pick 9 way back when? his body has been pretty good for the last two years, at least from a soft issue perspective i wonder if we'll kick the tyres...

Farewell Jesse Hogan

Finals Tickets
the (not) funniest part about this fiasco is the crowd is only predicted to get to 80k - so why is it so hard to get a ticket to a 100k seat stadium?

Finals Tickets
massive flow on effects of pushing the afl club member sales over to tomorrow, which is when afl member sales are meant to begin, then gen admin sales... what sort of servers are they using, i wonder? obviously not scalable aws ones!
