  1. ridiculous assessment, he hasn't even been in the job six months yet
  2. port look slow; crows look good
  3. it's fairly likely we'll finish third in the division, with the fourth best overall record, and still fail to make finals
  4. north-saints is not a good game to watch only interesting thing to note so far about it is that both teams really are lining up with pure 'wingmen' - polec doesn't even move from his spot until he's worked out which way it's going - and having some space i50 to move in if there is a quick clearance might be the making of mccartin edit: oh, and tyson can still win the ball in the contest but still can't kick, and kent remains a solid small pressure forward
  5. He wasn’t a gun, but he was a vital part of that early 90s side Much like when the early 00s side lost Steve Powell, he was a classic good ordinary player who was a reliable and regular contributor and we missed him when he left
  6. Can’t believe the peptides let caaaaarlton score 100 points
  7. hogan is clearly the more credentialed forward over an exposed period, having played a key forward role since his debut by comparison t mac is a relative newcomer to the caper other than listening to lewis do his 'look over there, robbo...squirrel!' routine on a tuesday, the only watchable segment on afl 360 is when bob murphy and nick riewoldt are on as they're astute football brains who aren't afraid to have a say i rate riewoldt enormously as a commentator, but the real shock in this list is that ben brown is so far down - that dude is a classic forward and i'd say easily top 5 in the competition off the top of my head, i'd say top 10 key forwards in the caper currently: buddy hawkins brown jack riewoldt josh kennedy de goey hogan plugger mac dixon daniher i know betts is a 'small' but he plays like a traditional key forward, leading out of the square, a lot of the time
  8. lever is a good player returning from injury, we're not inconsistent, and we're not inexperienced i'd say my three major areas of concern are disposal quality, speed exiting the contest, and complacency
  9. half our team won't be playing in this game, i suspect, with the vast majority of those who missed against the filth to skip this too no may, jones, viney, lever, oliver, kk, melksham, hannan, t mac is a fair chunk of the side not playing already so at least they won't be coming off a six day break IF they suit up then lotsa rotations in this game i suspect
  10. this umpiring has been diabolical
  11. Based on the small sample size, Preuss competes at ground level as well as in the air, looked solid in the ruck (without being spectacular), and is a massive unit that oppo players will need to both mind and be mindful of such is his sheer physicality I go back to the old Roos (at the Swans) maxim that you don’t recruit a player from another side without expecting and giving them the opportunity to be part of the best 22
  12. Gus Brayshaw EVERYWHERE that quarter Gawn and Preuss works for me as a ruck / forward combo Trac’s hands in close are unbelievable; he just knows how to extract the pill and then hand off to a moving player
  13. For a bloke who I thought might struggle for a regular senior spot, Lewis looks so calm and composed
  14. It is a fantastic atmosphere down here - I’d guess around up to 5000 here? Really impressed by Trac and Harmes at ground level, JKH busy in the second term in particular, Preuss excellent in the air, and Hunt running hard but his kicking leaves a bit to be desired, Lewis and Hore very calm and composed down back
  15. Whose fight? OUR FIGHT!
  16. I’m going; can’t wait
  17. his second half of last year was absolutely brilliant i'm expecting more of the same for me it's either harmes or ben jacobs as the best run-with midfielders in the afl
  18. yes, this conference system is a bit of a debacle not an aflx-level style one, but still a stuff up
  19. north in the aflw in 2019 = north in the afl in 1975
  20. What happened @Satyriconhome? Impact injury or collision or something else?
  21. no good
  22. tarrant rumoured to have done his ac joint in this internal scratch match... i've always likes tyson, and reckon he'll be good for another 100 games for the kangas
  23. Thunder cats ain’t even in the top five of 80s cartoons! mysterious cities of gold ftw
