no insider knowledge, just wild stab-in-the-dark guess work and yep, lewis to go to hodge and negate him all day

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON

Oscar McDonald
Good idea I think, I’m sure as much about mental strength and resilience as physical capabilities

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
on what medium did pert say that the yarra park plan - which was not under his stewardship either, fwiw - was doa? i only heard him on sen and they didn't talk about it at all it was mostly about the coaching changes (on which he was very strong, despite king reckoning we've treated mccartney like crap) and the gambling issues currently all the rage

POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Fremantle
i liked jones behind the ball for me that's the role for him for the remainder of the year puts severe doubt in lewis getting a game again; in some respects it'd be 'nice' for him to come in this week to play a defensive forward role on hodge...but i can't see him playing unless he has a blinder in the vfl

Round 14 Non MFC Games

Brad Hill
either hill would perfectly suit our system, but as others have said the balance of time and effort put into ed langdon clearly has us chasing him, whereas the hawks have put in the work to recruit brad hill back for at least 18-24 months if stephen hill has decided that he wants out as a result of his brother also leaving, i'd happily have him if we can't get brad, even though he's four years older and clearly prone to injury

Round 14 Non MFC Games
hammy went ping, delaying his 300th to a game of far more significance than the one against gc17 next weekend he was absolutely dominant as a forward

ANB Close to Re-Signing?
i'm presuming cos we didn't have the capacity / desire to match a significant three-year deal for a player who was so injury-prone and regularly failed to perform to a required level
-
ANB Close to Re-Signing?
kent got offered a significant three-year deal at the aints; he'd have been a fool to sign with us by comparison
-
ANB Close to Re-Signing?
i'm confident he's the sort of player that can work his way back into form cos his workrate is excellent

2019 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
from all reports it seems like there's a clear 1 and 2 and then throw the blanket over the rest

Should we be Chasing Darcy Parish
His inside mid work in the last month has been terrific - it’s where he plays his best football We don’t need another inside mid

Mid-season Coaching Revamp
Writing on the wall for McCartney, clearly Now has no development with players, just with the assistant coaches
-
Jaidyn Stephenson Betting Scandal
Bet was 5x the size of heath shaw’s outlay on his skipper scoring first goal in a game eight years ago So, by rights, he should cop a $100k fine and be suspended by 40 weeks

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
i've been hypercritical of gus for a while now, primarily cos his ball usage and his defensive efforts are less than ideal for a player of his undoubted ability it's the same as dom tyson at the moment - he's a good inside midfielder but he can't play any other role, which limits his flexibility and the approach that we can take to using him in a different role as required i'm not certain that trading him would be the ideal scenario as he, ideally, simply replaces the role that jones plays once he retires at the end of 2020 as a plug-n-play certain first-start mid rotation to lose dom, gus, and jones (presuming the latter retires at the end of 2020) in three consecutive years would reduce our option of inside mid stocks significantly over a three year period if he was to go, you'd want it to be for something quite valuable, and i'm not sure gus brayshaw = ben brown plus north's second rounder is a fair deal, but it's what i'd want, at a minimum
