Calls to Swap our Rd 01 Game to Marvel
also, OF COURSE gilligan hasn't seen it; it would've gone to travis auld...i guess this means he didn't pass on the message / it was rejected outta hand, and the peptides went to def con 5 and their mates in the media to try and force the narrative

Bruce McAvaney Retires
he's been a legend and there's few left in the commentary box who have his depth of knowledge about both modern and historic data and figures - he'll be missed wonder whether ch 7 will throw the big bucks to poach whateley or hudson to become their primary caller

GAMEDAY: B-Side vs Richmond
based on that package bowey's skills look to be elite, laurie makes smart decisions and looks like a better version of hannan, and petty can mark but his disposal and decision making needs to improve a lot can definitely see the former two playing against the 'scrays in a week's time

Is Gawn the best player we have ever had?
it's all so subjective i have only really been following / obsessing over us since the mid 1980s or so, so only saw the tail end of flower gawn is a colossus for mine top 5 since 85, or so: gawn neitz lyon jakovich schwarz oliver is tracking beautifully to be ahead of several on that list, whilst trac could do if they win premierships they'll go up in everyone's estimation

Clayton Oliver 100 Games Round 1 2021 vs FREO

jones injection into the middle has been vital to stemming the tide we can't buy a free tho

GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Richmond
the premiers missing four of their best side too - Rioli, Prestia, Lambert, Houli all injured or being rested? i know prestia has had hamstring issues this preseason, but no idea re others we're seven of our best 22 down - Melksham, Hibberd, Viney, Brayshaw, Brown, Weideman, Pickett and we're now a solitary point down after max gets a free and converts from 50
-
GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Richmond
do we not have anyone who can rove off a pack? they've kicked at least two goals from players swooping on to loose balls
-
GAMEDAY: Practice Match vs Richmond
gawn's kick from d50 straight into the 'hot spot' at the top of the 50 was laughably bad tigers still look a mile better but at least are only a couple of points up

PRACTICE MATCH: vs Richmond - Friday 26 February 2021
i wonder whether we'll go close to full-strength to get game plan as bedded in as possible or give younger / less experienced players opportunities for instance, we know that may and lever are our best tall defenders - do they give way to give petty first opportunity vs tomlinson? same is true for salem; why pick him to look at as 7th def when we know that that's his role; are we better off giving options to others to press their claims? same goes for langdon - i'd rather see a 'wing off' between baker and rosman, for instance, to see who can claim first opportunity unsure whether oliver and trac have to play as starting mids as our other next tier inside mids - viney and brayshaw - aren't fit enough to play; perhaps it creates a first look opportunity for sparrow and / or jordon the big exception for me is around forward planning; we need to see how plugger mac, jackson, and fritsch work together as that's what we're going to have for the first 6 or so rounds of the season before brown is, possibly / hopefully, fit again this of course means that gawn MUST play as we need to see that forward structure in place rather than necessarily having jackson (or bradtke?) take the ruck lead against nankervis, if he is playing, or coleman-jones i think clubs are running 8-man benches for these games? B: Lockhart - Petty - J Smith HB: Hunt - Tomlinson - Rivers C : Baker - Petracca - Rosman HF: vandenBerg - McDonald - Spargo F: Fritsch - Jackson - Farmer Foll: Gawn - Sparrow - Harmes I/c: Bedford - Bowey - Laurie - Jordon - Nietschke - M Brown - Bradtke - D Smith unavailable: viney - brayshaw - hibberd - melksham - hore - weideman - b brown - daw not selected: may - jones - salem - lever - oliver - langdon - chandler - jetta

Practice Match Series: Non-MFC
i watched 5-10 minutes of the kangas-aints clash...i don't think north hit a single target by hand or foot in that time period, and dom tyson was caught cold holding the ball saints' ball movement was slick and precise but they were under a scintilla of pressure

Position Open: MFC General Manager - Commercial
not sure if you are being funny or an [censored], or both? perhaps just a provocateur... it's from the latin 'manus' for 'hand', as in a good manager lends a helping hand

AGM 2021
originally, a decade or so ago, i was in the 'mcg precinct only' camp now i really don't see the requirement for that to be the case if casey is our best option from a landspace, performance, and capability standpoint, so be it

Surprise packet/Whipping boy 2021
surprise packet - tomlinson; with a dedicated role in the backline i think he'll showcase why we invested in him as a free agency recruit whipping boy - brayshaw; he's coming off an injury-interrupted preseason and previous history has indicated that he's not capable of delivering to expectations when he's not cherry ripe
