  1. actually it's identical to us - 13 seasons without playoff appearances they're one of the oldest basketball teams in existence yet they've won one title - in 51 - when they known as the rochester royals the kings WISH they were as successful as the dees!
  2. Tell that to fans of the 76ers or Knicks, who both tried tanking to - this far - different outcomes Not to mention Sacramento Kings, who have had 13 seasons without a playoff appearance

the theory goes that the sooner north melbourne make a big money offer for you, the sooner you are to re-sign with yr original club will papley stay at the swans rather than head to north melbourne?

under brad scott north made prelim finals three times, i think? their last decade-plus has been far superior to ours

as per everyone else, not for pick 3 - but if we split the picks then absolutely BUT surely we cannot go near the $$s he's commanding to move back to melbourne - we're already bringing in tomlinson at $4-500k a year over the next four, presumably we're not paying langdon in twisties...if we had the cap room then yes, but it's not likely
  6. heard him on sen - same interview? - and he said he very much likes to play on the wing and that's where he expects to line-up, where he spoke to goodwin about playing, and that he also thinks he can come up to the contest and use his big frame in that space he sounds way older than 26
  7. agreed same thing with the aints' bruce being probably worth 'more' than a pick in the mid-30s and zak jones being worth more than that for the swans too it's all swings and roundabouts and all deals will happen tho i reckon
  8. has played more finals than our entire leadership team put together! i do think it's ominous that we say: Tomlinson is a durable player who has missed just two matches in the past three years, and has experience performing at the pointy end of the season. now it's a case of “We bought him; now we will break him”
  9. i've had concerns on gus for some time - he's as slow as trengove, he can't dispose of the ball, and he jogs from contest to contest, looking completely disinterested far too regularly if the offer was there from freo of pick 6 for brayshaw i'd be tempted to take it
  10. Ship him west!
  11. 51% afl-owned
  12. deservedly, i think good player
  13. this i wish we were in the hunt for papley, but he's clearly going to the blues on big coin if he goes anywhere

    Pies mate: “he’s deplorable”
  15. ellis, elliott, tomlinson are the clear three stand-outs of that crop and we are in discussions with two of them
  16. where were these mysterious reports emanating from?

    is quick, can't kick
  18. as a club i love that we don't leak anymore like we used to do all he's doing is confirming everything that's been speculated in the media, and he's pretty circumspect about all of that too
  19. interesting interview, particularly about the fatigue and the lack of 'competitive' training to our core midfield group he speaks very well the stuff he says about our luck of competitive 'bruising mentality' was indicative of the malaise that set in - we knew we were cooked and we ran out of puff late in every game
  20. I was at the peptides game in red 3 - both frost and o Mac were appalling Brown kicked 2.3 - if he’d kicked straight like the week before he’d have had 5.0, 17 disposals and 6 marks to his name; other than the inaccurate goal kicking, that’s a very good game for a key forward
  21. we traded a second round pick for frost, but after all the other picks came into it in terms of value he worked out as being about a pick 60 valuation i'm not fussed if he goes or he stays, as i don't think we're going anywhere while he's in our best 22
  22. viney has always polled well, so - given the low scores - it is not a huge surprise
  23. this is the first time rawlings has been mentioned by anyone as even in the running it was those three, plus sumich, that we know presented to the board i reckon watson is wrong (again)
  24. How does that work, given that he took the role at North? Sounds like whispers is barking up the wrong tree... Longmuir, Solomon, and Carr were the names all talked about as in the running for a senior role at Freo, and all are known to have presented to the board Been no talk of Rawlings to Freo before now
  25. is he going to the russians, cubans, or the cia?
