  1. gawn, plugger mac, and another player hidden under a cap all in the huddle at quarter time too
  2. just catching up - nearly at quarter time - but i'd say bradtke looks pretty okay behind the ball? bowey looks a ripper, melksham is everywhere around the pill, and weideman is miles better moving up out of the 50 rather than being an i50 target - you definitely can imagine that they presumed it was going to be weed / sideshow in the forward structure for the mfc before t mac's 'good to see you're not wasting your career anymore' comeback in 2021 declase looks very promising
  3. langdon is by some margin the best wingman in the game this year but i fully expect the all oztrayan selectors to stick with tradition and name ostensible on-ballers on the wing (walsh, macrae, or miller) and half-forward flanks (petracca, bontempelli) in terms of the squad at the moment i'd have may, lever, salem, gawn, oliver, petracca, langdon in it, but only expecting one of may or lever in it, plus gawn, oliver, and petracca but who knows how the final six rounds will play out and how recency bias influences selection
  4. will make recovery etc. vital for the dogs match the following weekend
  5. yep - peptides don't have much experience but a lot of their players in that 30-70 game range are relatively 'old', e.g. stewart and hind are both 27, cutler 26, laverde, wright, and waterman 25, redman 24 they have a couple - literally; cox and perkins - of exciting first year players plus jones who is only in his second year who should be super for them, but given their age profile and list demographic they really should be a finals side
  6. at least with no goals it'll be over quicker
  7. chalk and cheese with the pressure in tonight's game compared to last night very average watch so far
  8. us! peptides hawks blues bears gw$ footscray? tiggas meth coke really think the dogs could be challenged by the swans...well, i hope so at any rate!
  9. and he even kicked with his right foot!
  10. boak to plugger: "good to see you're not wasting your career any more" whack!
  11. brown blocked his defender from impacting the contest allowing jackson the free run to mark (and goal)
  12. one of the most egregious bits of commentary last nite was when i think the lesser mclachan said after plugger had kicked another goal that 'his action isn't the smoothest' what a nong he literally has the PERFECT set shot approach
  13. no change unless there's an unreported or emerging injury concern
  14. thoroughly satisfying viewing save for our set shots it was a pretty intense, final-like pressure for the first three and a bit quarters before we 'broke' them
  15. 6: Petracca 5: McDonald 4: Oliver 3: May 2: Pickett 1: Salem that was fab
  16. interesting to see that the pear are sticking with two genuine ruckmen - lycett and ladhams - plus three tall forwards - dixon, georgiades, and marshall our workrate from the backline moving the ball forward is going to be so important in this game - salem, hunt, rivers, hibberd, plus brayshaw working back and then moving it at speed and with accuracy is vital
  17. Very good defender; undersized but ‘plays’ tall Reckon he might go to Fritsch, with Aliir on Brown and Jonas on Plugger Mac
  18. the pear don't 'lose' players, more or less super professionally well run club
  19. lots of media running with the story that son son walters has had a falling out with longmuir, which is why his form is so far down this season 31 at the start of next season, if he was going 'on the cheap' we'd be crazy not to be keen you'd think
  20. howe's hanger at the scg for mine was more spectacular - his hang time on this one was ridiculous: and liam jurrah's mark of the year in 2010 may have been even betterer than that:
  21. he had his opportunity and didn't grasp it with the rotations at casey on the weekend, it would seem the likely three to come in are milkshake, avb, and sideshow bob i would presume harmes / viney, anb / pickett, and sparrow are the likely to make way
  22. hibberd was fine on greene; he had 7 disposals and kicked 3 goals - he made his possessions count but barely got it and hibbo completely blanketed him hunt was one of the the ONLY players working hard in the last quarter to try and keep us in the game; he was pinged because he got caught betwixt and between kicking for goal and setting up a teammate - it was both good (in that he wanted to do the 'team' thing) and bad (in that he didn't back himself in to kick the goal and as such got caught holding the ball) that said...i want maynard as he perfectly suits our list and side's structure, has family history at the mfc from all reports, cerra is definitely on the move - he is gonna command serious $$ for a player who has yet to really 'break out'
  23. stop quoting dr d people don't feed the troll
  24. he wasn't good yesterday but he wasn't on his pat malone he was also completely freezing; after the 3/4 time huddle he was noticeably shivering and rubbing his biceps to try and keep warm his drop-off has been pronounced
