  1. presuming you mean aints and blues... would be so good lycett down for the pear
  2. rioli has been playing the set-up across half-back in the second half of this year; has had far higher possession numbers as a result
  3. i can't get over that clarkson has been turfed the hawks' form since the mid-season bye has been excellent
  4. it's less rather than more likely that we can afford those key giants and their top tier talent like (the long term signed up) whitfield, greene, kelly, coniglio, plus the really exciting green, hopper or taranto i'd look at their next tier of rebounding defenders like isaac cumming, or the mids like o'halloran, perryman, and bruhn they all look like they'll be very good afl players and all in their 'pre-contract' year, with new deals due at the end of 2022 the players i'm still most keen on us chasing remain brayden maynard from the filth, ed richards from footscray, and jake riccardi from gw$
  5. i'm as bad as @Demonland, furiously changing results to calculate the likely finals match-ups can definitely see the peptides making it playing old mate joedan and the bears, a sydney clash in the other elimination final for us i reckon it'll be the pear if we win both games or we'll play the cats two weeks in a row...i worry that it'll be two trips down to kardinia park, but if we drop r23 then hopefully practice should make perfect and we knock em off in finals week 1 other top four clash will either be footscray v pear or cats
  6. afl-ready body, knows the system, mature, can cover both tall and mediums as a defender, shows ability to attack the contest, won't be costing us a fortune has had a rotten run with injury and i'm happy to retain him on the list for depth
  7. jeff kennett loves to sell things off; surely he'll take a juicy offer it gutwein ponies up the cash
  8. gw$? footscray puddy tatts pear bears swans? us peptides meth coke? should be some cracking games this weekend with lots on the line
  9. gotta stick with our preferred dry weather mcg structure IN: hibberd, weideman OUT: hunt (inj.), avb avb for medi-sub
  10. on the presumption that t mac is a definite out... OUT: hunt (inj), avb IN: hibberd, weideman i think we want to go with the structure of two tall forwards plus the ruckman rotating forward; the wet weather over west made it necessary to stick with a small, more mobile set-up, but back at the g we want to set up the way we want to play, and have been playing save for last week there was one of those fluffy trade reports in the herald-sun and it talked about how the dees believe weed is still a required player, and it said that if the weather had been fine he would've been in for plugger out with his bung back i actually thought jordon did really well in the rotating defender role, but hibb deserves first crack at resuming defensive duties
  11. a grand final without them would be...good for us? we seem to play the oval well
  12. judging by alan richardson's video i would guess plugger mac is less rather than more likely
  13. i actually wonder, given that there's the 'week off' the following week, whether they schedule it for a 'prime time sunday evening' game to try and maximise what will likely determine who finishes top of the table
  14. Trading in his maggot whistle for a meth coke life membership? Unbelievably bias for his favourite side
  15. i can't see him becoming a forward at all tbh; he's definitely a small defender who sets up the play accordingly
  16. it's really interesting to note that - following the aflpa press statement - that ALL indigenous players, the adelaide football club, and most of the media, are no longer referring to him as 'tex' walker methinks taylor's career might be done
  17. #1 in my 42
  18. so too will petty, rivers, jordon, pickett, and jackson 😈
  19. https://www.afl.com.au/news/662866/22under22-squad-dees-suns-dominate-cats-snubbed 5 in the squad of 40 - petty, rivers, jordon, pickett, jackson
  20. more interested in what that means for their other uncontracted players and pre-contracted players, not to mention the likes of (current captain) steve coniglio tom green has reportedly been tapped up by the tigers, coming out of contract at the end of this season, while another of their academy selections jacob hopper will also no doubt be in high demand also, jake riccardi remains out of contract at the end of this season in terms of pre-contracted players (i.e. those out of contract at the end of 2022), i'd definitely be interested in having chats with tim taranto, isaac cumming, tanner bruhn, and harry perryman
  21. Gunston in for a second - or third? - bout of back surgery Don’t think many clubs will be chasing him
  22. there's some gold on bigfooty, including a bears fan with this absolute zinger: Sorry to intrude but I think Mathew Nicholls has something personal against West Coast. Diabolically bad decisions/non decisions against you guys tonight from him. Some of his calls/non calls were quite frankly bizarre and lacked consistency. Would love to say I'm surprised but I am not. response 1: Yes, he is a massive prolapsed va jay jay response 2: Good to see that a neutral observer noticed this. He is a shocker, Melbourne player hanging onto Darling won’t give him the ball - nothing, conversely West Coast player runs about 10 meters alongside the Melbourne player - 50 meters = goal, yuk, and there were lots more as you suggested - maybe we said his baby was ugly. response 3: Nah, this implies he's fine in non West Coast games. He's just a truly, truly awful umpire, to the point where it almost seems more likely he's corrupt because his decisions are that moronic. actual meth coke comments: People praising the comeback need to realise that almost all the scoring was at that end . It was a howling 3 to 4 goal breeze. Melbourne were better at using run and carry into the breeze and were more efficient with it . They had the exact same dominance as we did in the third but they kick their goals and we missed ( allen Kelly langdon ) . Jack Darling is a joke of a footballer at the moment and should've been dropped a long time ago. THAT right there is on Simpson. The better team won. Simmo's press conference is as good as watching that Iraqi foreign minister days before the USA invaded Baghdad. Totally delusional. The only positive these days is post game conference. Good luck changing a game plan in a pre-season. Just resign before it gets embarrassing. New start fresh ideas. 7 years is a great effort, thank you for all you have done. Time to go Simmo. It was crystal clear this game. Showed a bit of heart and stayed with the Demons until half time. Afterwards we looked shot and the first thing to go when you're tired is defensive pressure and gut running. And the Demon's ran all over us. Until the lightning break, it was looking to be more of the same, but the break allowed us to get our breath back and we came out harder than I've seen all year. We might be too old next year, we might not quite have the cattle, our game plan might still suck, but we won't be blown out of the water like we have been this year if we're fit. Pre-season from hell fit. No exceptions. Ryan you don't want to put in for the pre-season? Play WAFL. Darling flopped around like a fish for most of the first half, went awol in the third with everyone else and then turned on beast mode in the 4th. He's a fantastic barometer. Lets face it, Melb pulled the pin after Lightning break. Eagles were kicking to scoring end but honestly didnt looklike winning. Time for Simmo to make some tough decisions on footballers. MCGovern needs a reality check. Always tries to get the smallest defender. Wold have thought last night hed get the big boys but no he chose Melksham , etc. Edwards down back I thought did well.
  23. it would seem that there's one obvious move - plugger in for an injured hunt - but it would reasonable to assume that as that's a structural change it is something that will require more than one in and out IN: hibberd, plugger mac OUT: hunt (inj.), avb
  24. 6: oliver 5: neal-bullen 4: harmes 3: jackson 2: petracca 1: brown
