Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
alternative way to look at it... - angus meets oppo clubs - agrees to mfc offer - spins out media narrative that he's listening to offers; mfc media exposure with pos / neg op cost - does an interview with his mate garry on sen; more mfc media exposure with pos / neg op cost - announces new long-term mfc deal; even MORE mfc media exposure with pos op cost cynical, moi?

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
there's a myriad of ways for players to be able to 'unlock' extra income personally i'm all for them earning big bikkies; they ARE the product i'm very curious to see what happens - i think the current cba has player revenue tied to 28% of revenue in the game, plus a percent of club revenue above profits i think it is, but i would think paul marsh and the aflpa will be trying to increase that significantly next deal i don't know, but i wonder does that 28% also cover the aflw? i'm very happy gus is staying; as much as he drives me insane with some of his clangers, i think he's having a brilliant season and can play multiple rolls for the club over the next 6 years

Farewell Luke Jackson
my guess? because sean darcy comes out as contract as a free agent as a 24 year old in two years time geelong will come HARD for him

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
His future media and corporate career aspirations are enormous, partly because he’ll - in all likelihood - be a one-club player, which helps his ‘brand’

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
afl ratings are based upon a rolling average of 40 games let's wait and see where he's rated once he hits that mark playing the 'sweeper' role that he has been doing since the start of this season

i was thinking the same thing but their pressure rating being so poor has me concerned

if he goes and jackson goes, then we simply must match whatever the offer is for gus, and force a trade he'll be a first round compo pick, you'd think, but i would much rather match, force a trade, and get peptides' pick 7 or so and give something back the other way than get a pick 20 or so

where do you stand on the expectation of the move to play two key forwards going forward from now?

Have you enjoyed season 2022?
the pressure of expectation is too much to bare that said, when we have been up and flying - vs bears - it's been glorrrious to watch

Matthew Stokes on Melbourne
didn't see em last year when they finished 17th and were - save for their grand final on queen's birthday - pretty much awful all year?

don't forget jimmy toumpas! might as well add stevie armstrong in there too!!- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
if he stays he stays; if he goes he goes he's having a ripping year...as a half-back flanker even better year than last year...where it was a defensive wing and in turn that was better than the last time he played as a pure mid...nearly 5 seasons ago! he might come back and be the greatest inside midfielder essendon has had since jab watson...and i still doubt he'd be better than the combo of clayton oliver, christian petracca, and jack viney even playing as a half-back interceptor his defensive workrate can be mighty suspect- PODCAST: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
more definitely more andy than @binman, but listening to relentless anti-mfcss from the latter is somewhat...cathartic? wish i had anything close to the confidence! it's an absolute must listen when it goes live as a podcast - great work as always- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
if he does choose to leave as a free agent and picks the peptides - 🤮 - we simply MUST match and force a trade to get their 2023 first round pick no way can we let gus walk and only get a pick in the 15-20 range- Farewell Luke Jackson
you can shave about $400k off the rumoured per annum salary indicated by sumich, and even then it's STILL $2-300k a year more than we are offering i'm going to be shattered if / when he announces he wants to return to wa, as i think he's a generational talent if the rumours are true re his reasoning behind wanting to go 'home' are personal, so be it at this stage, however, he's an exciting, promising talent rather than the whole article- CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
we've had a pretty bad spate of copping injuries early in the games this season it would seem that burgess isn't just good at managing injury and fitness but also brings a fair dose of luck with him- Farewell Luke Jackson
yep, heaps from our own club, viney is an obvious one- Petty must play forward ( if fit )
so we score 100 points, and have 110 scored against us, and people want to swap one of the three pillars of our backline out to send em forward? i don't understand the logic of doing so whatsoever- Farewell Luke Jackson
the money that has been talked about as being on offer from freo is - from a reasonable source - not even close to accurate it's still huge money for a 20 year old - over $800k a year - but not close to the rumoured $1.25m per annum over eight seasons- VOTES : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
