  1. bedford got offered a three year deal at gw$ with more opportunity, as opposed to two at the mfc where he was behind pickett, anb, chandler for the speed forward role he made the right call and good luck to him
  2. i'm going to make an argument against this... ...if we pick two talented players, they're going to sign the standard two-year deal for picks... ...now let's say they extend that to an initial three-year deal... ...but what guarantee do they have of breaking into a perennial finals side? in two or three years time they might be frustrated with their lack of opportunity and request a trade for greater opportunity elsewhere; what's the chance we'd get a pick 4 or 5 back for them? i'd say unlikely - at the moment first / second round picks like jefferson (who will need to get ahead of jvr and petty) or laurie (in competition with spargo, chandler) or jordon (sparrow, woewodin, etc.) can't be guaranteed a spot in our side, and they have the added benefit of being part of our system and have, with the exception of jefferson, experienced a 'taste' of senior footy we're far, far better off putting our eggs in one top basket and backing one player who is considered by champion data to be the best talent and to have the best underage #s since petracca to break into our side quickly and to influence our play
  3. when he gets THAT LOOK i know that we as a team are about to go on one
  4. he's going to be a ripper of a player think ben hart
  5. i would hope it'll be 95k plus change but in terms of actual ticket SALES, it's quite a bit less
  6. more like 75k the rest is dependent upon corporate and mcc allocations
  7. fwiw, good source tells me we're 'odds on' to get pick 4 from gc17 pick 1 is 'up for discussion' if the above happens - i assume cos we're looking at bundling 4 and 5 for 1 i'm all for it
  8. tom mcdonald bags of beef aplenty and a life supply of bbq's awaits
  9. Mate could only get standing room in afl members High 90s looms
  10. a game winning goal against the bears is my favourite milkshake
  11. i'm a joel smith screamer away from waiting in a virtual lottery queue for afl member tix
  12. as per taylor swift, it's a complete lottery - the allocation of tickets is random entry you could log in now and be waiting in the queue for 2 hours and not get tickets or you could log in at 10.11am and go straight through and get tickets it's a random entry system
  13. and run him around he's got a history of hammy troubles that have taken time to recover from he'll be about 3 weeks since the last one make him work it
  14. he's more of a pressure forward than a true midfielder, i would've thought? you'd think he'd be depth in that role / pushing into midfield for us
  15. i don't think there's any doubt that brodie is one of the best 'ruck-rovers' in the competition that's not what we need from him tho
  16. the vitriol aimed at him from peptides' people is extraordinary - i thought he was a good egg? i mean, i know he's part of the anointed afl bois' club, but they really seem to hate him
  17. plugger = premiership barometer the minute he hurt his foot against north last week on the docklands carpark i said we were up against it to be premiers in 2022 he's hitting his straps at the right time in 2023
  18. we're three wins away from being premiers it's pretty simple win this one and we're in a very, very good position for mine...i'm shattered for milkshake - he's been fantastic the back half of this season; such a shame OUT: melksham IN: plugger mac this game is going to be HUGE
  19. 80% of the afl's revenue comes from the broadcasters yr damn straight they control the fixturing
  20. 6: petracca 5: fritsch 4: neal-bullen 3: viney 2: brayshaw 1: oliver
  21. great finals warm up so sad about milkshake
  22. afl legend full stop i thought we were very experimental in that half - riv in the middle the entirety of q2, jvr in the ruck more than gawn, hunter started in the centre square at one point, may playing a very, very high line, we rolled two back defensively and let them have an extra two at the stoppage
  23. lib party preselection and no more commentary work for c7 will suit him
  24. god may does some dumb things for such an experienced, excellent footballer
