  1. Why do we seemingly struggle to move the ball at the MCG compared to the (near) identical Perth stadium?
  2. had a convo with a cats supporting workmate the other week - he sais as ecstatic as he's been with the last decade of the cats, he'd trade their 75% or so winning ratio for a premiership any day of the week
  3. well, if you look at their recruiting since they lost won a premiership, they've used free agency brilliantly to top up or force a trade for key players who are free agents, and then picked the eyes out of trades etc. been a very good wheeler and dealer
  4. best key forward we've had since neitz
  5. howe a quad?
  6. not tall? 203cm is pretty big
  7. it's like people forget that on one knee grundy basically kickstarted the filth's season vs the peptides on anzac day - he was incredible in that game while clearly injured that said...wouldn't want to pay anything close to $1m a year for the next five to him i have faith in our footy dept to get it 'right'
  8. everyone is super confident he's gone but i am prepared to hope, wait, and see 2022 and 2023 first rounders, meek, logue for jackson and our 2022 2nd rounder?
  9. doesn't compete in the air well enough to play as a key back
  10. IN: Sideshow Bob OUT: Weed harmes to replace chandler as the sub
  11. 6: viney 5: petracca 4: brayshaw 3: fritsch 2: petty 1: langdon
  12. alternative way to look at it... - angus meets oppo clubs - agrees to mfc offer - spins out media narrative that he's listening to offers; mfc media exposure with pos / neg op cost - does an interview with his mate garry on sen; more mfc media exposure with pos / neg op cost - announces new long-term mfc deal; even MORE mfc media exposure with pos op cost cynical, moi?

  14. there's a myriad of ways for players to be able to 'unlock' extra income personally i'm all for them earning big bikkies; they ARE the product i'm very curious to see what happens - i think the current cba has player revenue tied to 28% of revenue in the game, plus a percent of club revenue above profits i think it is, but i would think paul marsh and the aflpa will be trying to increase that significantly next deal i don't know, but i wonder does that 28% also cover the aflw? i'm very happy gus is staying; as much as he drives me insane with some of his clangers, i think he's having a brilliant season and can play multiple rolls for the club over the next 6 years
  15. my guess? because sean darcy comes out as contract as a free agent as a 24 year old in two years time geelong will come HARD for him
  16. His future media and corporate career aspirations are enormous, partly because he’ll - in all likelihood - be a one-club player, which helps his ‘brand’
  17. afl ratings are based upon a rolling average of 40 games let's wait and see where he's rated once he hits that mark playing the 'sweeper' role that he has been doing since the start of this season
  18. some have not all, it would seem
  19. i was thinking the same thing but their pressure rating being so poor has me concerned
  20. if he goes and jackson goes, then we simply must match whatever the offer is for gus, and force a trade he'll be a first round compo pick, you'd think, but i would much rather match, force a trade, and get peptides' pick 7 or so and give something back the other way than get a pick 20 or so
  21. where do you stand on the expectation of the move to play two key forwards going forward from now?
  22. the pressure of expectation is too much to bare that said, when we have been up and flying - vs bears - it's been glorrrious to watch
  23. didn't see em last year when they finished 17th and were - save for their grand final on queen's birthday - pretty much awful all year?
