  1. plus traded out an inside type (harmes) and brought in an outside type (billings) AND lost gus immediately prior to season start
  2. yep, but the aints will want clayton oliver for him
  3. i don't think there's anyone who doubts that he's been a star but did he REALLY win the longest kick in 2019? our clarry?!?? if we were to let him go then we'd want a small fortune for it, and based upon the season so far and his behaviour since his hamstring injury mid 2023 he's not been quite the same we desperately need him to be
  4. had completely not thought about the 5 day break between the casey game and the afl game vs the bears hard to see anyone who suited up this week getting promoted
  5. mfc had frost and o mac as our defensive lynchpins in 2018 and still made a qualifying final when you've got cripps, weitering, curnow, mckay, and walsh as yr core five from 2019 onwards, you should have been a regular finals side baggers underperformed for years before finally turning it around and performing to expectation in the back half of 2023
  6. their premiership window has been open for at least 5 years imo they just kept stuffing up, but banking those sweet, sweet early picks as a result they remind me so much of us in 2021. but i think the bloods are better than any competition that we ran into that year
  7. runs em 😈 now give us that caulfield announcement haha
  8. shoulda kicked him off the bike and made him walk home
  9. actually she's not employed board members don't get paid
  10. He’s a $1m+ a year player whose salary is indexed to total player payments for the next seven years who had no preseason not through injury but by decisions made of his own volition He is nor immune to criticism and we need to hope like hell he returns to being the professional he was
  11. I would kill for Weitering Combo of Lever and May
  12. wiki knows: Gulden was born in Sydney[1] to a Turkish-born father and an Australian mother.[2] He grew up in the suburb of Malabar and was a passionate Carlton supporter.[3] He began playing junior Australian rules football for the Maroubra Saints as a child[4][5] and joined the Sydney Swans academy at 11 years of age.
  13. no, it's not, but it's been repeated enough times that it's become truth
  14. it also means that next time he is clocked high, the maggots will remember and not reward him with a free so one incorrect call will cause another
  15. not sure that fantasy total is correct; vfl.com.au has it as 71 in fact, a lot of those fantasy / dream team totals don't correlate with official match stats: https://www.afl.com.au/vfl/matches/6475#player-stats
  16. i presume cos it means that they have, generally speaking, less than 4 years worth of experience koz must've been included cos he turned 23 the other week
  17. so you implied from it that she was not at the president's function, or in attendance at the game? perhaps, like the maggot, she was blindsided and presumed from may's reaction he got knocked in the noggin
  18. don't think fullarton was ever thought of as a role-filler just a break-glass-in-case-of-busted-max option
  19. should be a talking point for daniel hoyne, you'd think
  20. now i kinda want him to play this week
  21. she's the president; what is she meant to say?
  22. i think a lot of trades for 2024 and 2025 drafts will be determined by what the afl decrees are the new father-son and academy bidding rules i still think it'll be brought in for 2025, which means we're going to be put in a tough position to get 'unders' for kalani white, as we won't be able to bank a succession of late picks to use the draft collateral to draft him in in the first round by using massed late selections post 40, which seems to be the cut off for future points allocation of course it also means gc17 are unlikely to take him at all, as they have more highly rated academy prospects coming through this is the year we want to trade into, and 2025 is the year we want to trade out of imv, particularly if this year's crop is as strong as expected from a midfielder perspective also, i don't think gc17 will be interested in oliver - they have rowell, who is a better kick, in the same role similar reason i struggle to see hawks being interested in him; kicking skills are at a premium if we are shipping oliver out, geelong is i think the best bet - straight swap for jeremy cameron, and we finally have a key forward? 😈
  23. my kingdom for a quick and skilled mid...
