Don't be too quick to dismiss going after him. Very good, solid, strong and tough fleet footed defender would add a whole lot to our defence. Said no one ever.

Brett Lovett on the Footy Show was nervous. Watts was fine.

Elliot is a freak, will probably stand on Dunn's head at some stage. Too bad Howe will be standing on Elliot's head at the same moment with the ball clinched to his chest.

Absolutely. And I can't stop smiling.

The official I love Dom Tyson thread

Yeah that Salem play was brilliant, this is a kid that plays like a man. It's amazing how much joy we can get from drafting and trading, I did not know it can be a good thing. -

Haven't have seen many midfielders do that period. -
The official I love Dom Tyson thread

He used to have better hair, disappointing really. I love goal kicking midfielders that contest the ball, lay a tackle 55 metres out, rip the ball from the victims hands, stand up and kick a 55 metre goal off a step and a half. -
Yeah it's on our home jumper. Has been all year.

Underrated today.

Richmond are a rabble, we've passed the torch by the looks of it. We helped by giving them Miller, A.Maric and Petterd to go with their spud farm of recruits; Hampson, Chaplain, A.Edwards, Grigg and softy Houli. Meanwhile Schulz, White and Derickx are killing it at their new clubs, even Nahas has had a small impact at north. Most of my family and a lot of mates are Tigers supporters so I take a lot of interest, and an immense amount of joy watching the [censored] hit the fan and the microwaves melt the cards. Cotch can't kick over a jam tin, Riewoldt is a downhill skiing sook. Imagine how bad they'd be had Martin left.

What do we do with Grimes?
Deestroy All replied to blue and red in the head's topic in Melbourne Demons
That's a problem, there's no one to push him out. As for his intent, I think it's been lacking from him of late. It's something I've noticed all around the league with players tentative going for the loose ball (was a classic example in the Brisbane game this arvo). But Grimes in particular for us isn't hitting the contests like he used to, it sticks out too because everyone else is cracking in hard now. -

Saw that coming Nash, and it was great. But it's hardly something we've seen very often. I think standards need to be raised now to build on the improvement we've made. Big stage next week, we'll see if he can redeem himself. Defensive forward would suit him I reckon, get around it. -

He may be leadership group material for his around the club stuff, but he's no captain. Show me one thing he does on field that sets a standard. He should hand it over to the one and only bloke that deserves to be captain. Man up like Trengove did and go back and work on your individual game which is well below standard. I've read he needs to keep it simple. The sad thing is, he does. He's stuffing up the simplest of things. Even when he's been in form he opted for the momentum killing sideways 20m kick. Now he does that and misses the target. He gets turned around back into the corridor more than anyone. This is basic stuff. Make your man go boundary side, not carve us up down the middle. His game against Adelaide was good, I think it was the Carlton one he was excellent, apart from that I can't remember his good games. Very ineffectual or costly. Defensive forward would be my Hail Mary just to keep the team mojo and sooky fans happy. -
We lost and still improved.

Not disappointed at all. I was disappointed against the Bulldogs. Anyone that has watched Port all year knows that whole game was not how they want to play. They had to play the game on our terms and they're clearly skilful enough to still win. But they had to fight bloody hard to put us away, and they had some tremendous luck that helped them get the 4 points. We were shell shocked early and got off to the mentally hopeless starts the last seven years have given us. But we regrouped, fought back and stuck to our game plan. Put in Chris Dawes and his regular 5 tackles and pressure and we probably could have won. We were let down by Grimes who is just an embarrassment to Jones being co captain. Gawn was ineffective and maybe a bad selection given that we needed run and spread against Port. And Toumpas shouldn't be sub. A sub should be a line breaker or someone that demands the ball in space. Jetta was excellent. So was Pedo. Could not care less about Tyson's mistakes. He does 20 great things for 1 mistake, when we are a winning team you won't even notice his mistakes. Thought he was huge again. Viney is every bit as good as Wines, and miles better than him today. We're building nicely.
-
Lets be fair though, if Toumpas had a 30 metre head start on Matt White, he'd still finish a 100m sprint 3 minutes behind him.

Really?

I'm glad the Grimes reality has finally caught on. Dumbest bloke we've had on the field in some time. He'd be last picked for mine. Not to mentioned he's now even turned timid at the contest, always slowing down before he gets to the ball. I love watching this team, yet Grimes is infuriating me and dominating my thoughts. ...anyway... The Jetta. Most improved? Giving everyone's love child a bath. Pedo. Most improved? Marks everything. Dunn. Most improved? Mr reliable. See the theme here? Last year this game would have been over 40 minutes ago, this year we fight like dogs. Would be in front had they not gotten 2 BS goals. Won't be surprised if we fall off in the last half. But I won't be surprised if we win either. Roos is some bloke.
