When was the last time we kept a side goal less for a quarter? Would've been a while I reckon... How strong's the wind?

http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/liam...3423226301.html Great article by Martin Flanagan about Liam Jurrah. Gee I hope this guy makes it, sounds like he's got all the ability. Would be great for the club and his township. Go Dees

IMO "A" is complete disaster, it will age in about 2 years and we'll look back thinking jeez what the hell was that. That's the main problem with the all the clash guernseys we've had they've dated quickly and we've never keep one long enough to get used to it. The one with the MFC is head and shoulder's above the other because it's got history as Bingo has stated and it's classical, it won't age. I can't believe the vote is so close. I'll be shattered if they choose the constipated demon. To be honest I wouldn't mind betting opposition supporters are voting so we look like idiots.

Just dropped in $500

By the sounds of the reaction to the Fremantle loss, the team should be trying to string together 5 or 6 effective possessions. Worry about the wins when that´s sorted out!!!

Cards I'm in the same boat as you. Where did you find the International Subscribers section?

I´d also be interested in anyone´s suggestions on the best way to view the game on the internet. I´m in Spain and can´t watch it through Bigpond. If anyone has any ideas please post or send me a private message. Cheers Hells

I'm currently in Spain but have a close friend in the recruiting game, he's been in WA last week watching football, I presume it's the Under 18's. He sent me a message along these lines. "Melbourne should make sure they don't win another game. Naitanui will turn your club around" As much as I don't relish the first statment, I have to say the 2nd excites me...

If Nathan Jones wins the Melbourne Football Club B&F this year, will he be the youngest recipient ever? If not who was the youngest and where on the list will he fall?

Ash, I couldn't agree more and to be honest you're post is about one of my real beefs in football. It really annoys me that every close win or brave win is spruiked as the "Shinboner Spirit" does it again. Yet after last weekends thumping it's not mentioned. What they've got is no different to anyone else.

This game should be attacked with the ferocity and passion of a Grand Final for the players who pull on the Red and Blue this week. We have nothing else to play for this year other than giving the skipper a victory as brave and as fitting as his 300 games. I hope we come out and hit the pies harder than we came out and hit the Bulldogs last weekend. The acid should be put on all players that shirking and half steps will not be accepted and losing is not an option. I hope that the demon faithful turn out in force and cheer for the boys and especially the Captain. Good Luck Neita, go those demons!!! Fight like never before and do us all proud...

Surely if they are looking toward 2008 Nathan Brown wouldn't play, especially after his game last weekend. Hopefully Miller's named at Full Forward just to make sure he's in the team. I don't think he has got a position in the Forward line. I'd like to see the final team look like this... B: Ward, Carroll, Wheatley HB: C.Johnson, Bizzell, Buckley C: Bruce, McDonald, Petterd HF: Dunn, Robertson, Bate F: Sylvia, Newton, Davey FOLL: White, McLean, Jones I/C from: P.Johnson, Frawley, Miller, Godfrey Gee it's a young side though, but throw them in the deep end and see if they can swim. Who would've thought at the start of the year that we'd be second last, caretaker coach, blooding young players by Round 14. In: Miller, C.Johnson, Buckley, Frawley, Holland, Pickett, Dunn Out: Neitz (knee), Green (knee), Bell (hamstring), Johnstone (something)

I saw this and I too was impressed how well he spoke of the club. He really sounds like an honest guy and a true gentleman. Thanks for everything Neale and best of luck in the future.

Hi, I'm unable to go to the game tonight and am out of TV range. I was wondering if anyone had a DVD recorder and could possibly record the game for me? If anyone could do this for me it would be greatly appreciated and I'll arrange to somehow get it next week. Cheers, Simon

Would prefer for Buckley to come in if Frawley or Petterd are dropped, I'd expect Petterd to play don't forget he's had 2 weeks off to freshen up. Buckley is quick and can kick the ball further than 25m, 2 things in his favour over Brown. But i'd agree with some other posters Whelan would be the likely replacement before Buckley and Brown. Even though I thought he had a shocker on Sunday.

Newton started on the bench and then played most of the game Both Dunn and Miller spent decent periods of time on the bench. Having said that Newton was easily the pick of that bunch, Miller was pretty ordinary seems to like taking the ball on Half Forward and then runing back to the wing, where he'd dish it off by hand only to turn it over. He must've done that at least 3 times in the 2nd half. I thought Whelan had a very ordinary game too coming to think of it. I thought Buckley was pretty good, had the best skills out of the demons on the day, (except possibly Byron). I'd be very suprised if Newton didn't get a call up this week, he's had a good 4-5 weeks playing at full forward and our full forward's out injured. It would be the logical change... wouldn't it?

Has anyone got a DVD copy I could burn or they'd like to donate. I was OS the past couple of weeks and missed our first win.

After watching Frawley playing for Sandy last week, I really like the look of this kid. He's one of those players who seems to glide across the ground, the way he moves reminds me very much of the way Travis Johnstone and Nick Dal Santo move around. I'm not saying that he'll be as good as those two players but it's something I noticed last weekend. It looks like there feet hardly touch the ground when they run, hopefully this makes some sense. So for those who are going to the game on Sunday, keep an eye on him and see if you agree. Anyway, good luck to him, hope he does really well and has a long career for the Red and Blue.

Anyone got the final teams for Sandy? 1's and 2's Trying to decide whether I'll go down for the magoos?

I've got nothing to do on Saturday so I'm going to go down and watch my first Zebras match for the year. Looks to be a good one, plenty of young and old demons. Hope Newton, Frawley, C. Johnson and Buckley show something and Robbo comes through un-injured, Byron turning it on would be nice too. Really looking forward to it.
